I know it was a while ago, but in '06 people on here were saying the same stuff. I doubt the HHS players think much about the past and are worried about their current situation.

 

I agree with you. I was just trying to explain his point about the last 24 meetings. I will be there Sat. and I expect a great game with the Birds coming out on top, but I wouldn't be shocked if CC wins.

CCH is giving up an average of over 25 points per game and that is including 41 in only 1 half of play against Lasalle. Towles and Company are going to have a field day on Saturday.

Actually, I believe odd regions host in odd years. Also, District 5 & 6 make up Region 3, while Districts 7 & 8 make up Region 4.

 

This year, HHS or CCHS will (barring a tear in the space/time continuum) host the regional final (3rd round) and would travel for the semi-state (4th round).

 

Boyle/LexCath - D5

Rockcastle/Knox Central - D6

Highlands/CovCath - D7

Ashland/Johnson Central - D8

 

That makes more sense travelling West to East the Region #s get higher.

 

So, odd hosts in 2011 in both RD3 (if even # seeds meet) and RD4 (regardless of seed). HHS / CovCath hosts in RD3 as District 7 rep and travels in RD4 as Region 4 rep.

 

Next year, D7 rep travels in RD3 (if even # seeds meet) but hosts (as Region 4 rep) in RD4.

I saw the weirdest thing driving to work this morning down Dixie Highway from Ft. Mitchell to Covington. There was a convoy of dump trucks filled to the brim with dirt pulling in to Wooten Field in Park Hills. Backed traffic up for about 2 miles.

 

In an unrelated story, the Power of 5 Radar Network is predicting rain all day Friday and Saturday.

If any team has the ability to beat Highlands, i'd put my money on Cov. Cath. There is just something in the air when these two teams meet that wreeks of upset. Even though Highlands has dominated recently, the smell is still there in the hearts of all bluebird fans.
