I agree, but when you hit the 22 mile mark in the marathon and you are a half mile behind, you are in big trouble. The Reds are getting close to that point. Time to make some sort of a move in the right direction.
The season isn't at the 22-mile mark, though ... there is still more than one-third of the season to go. The Reds have to get it in gear, no doubt, but it isn't like anybody in the division is setting an unbeatable pace.

The big O tosses one to the backstop. Picturesque.

Once again too stubborn to use Bray where he should be used hurt here as Ondrusek can't pitch to the lefties.

Janish wasn't a pinch-hitter ... he was already in the game because of a double-switch.
Bailey career ERA with Hernandez is 7.02 before today in 66.2 innings

With Hanigan 3.93 in 176.1 innings.

Gee Dusty I wonder who the better option would be?

You know I was thinking the same thing today that I wondered how many mistake pitches are ones that the catcher calls. I know the pitcher can shake them off but I often question Hernandez game calling. I kind of look forward to his going to the Giants soon.

Yep. I could've told ya they'd score once Ondrusek gave up the winning run.

Somehow you knew that Votto was going to do that but Ondrusek ruined the chance to tie the game.

Votto's HR only masks the inadequate effort on Chapman's pick at 1st.

Votto is a terrible fielder. He's made that blatantly clear this season.

Why a double switch? What the scenario?

Typical late game move you see almost every night at every game in baseball. New pitcher and wanted to move where the pitcher was hitting in the batting order.

Frazier was hitting 7th and the pitcher at 9.

I did not see the lineup after the switch. I am sure Chapman went in at 7 and Janish at 9.
