My and I really thought this was "The year" for the Cubbies! I can't imagine being a Cubs fan. It has been hard enough living with the Reds for the last 20 years. I can't imagine living your whole life and never having a winner.
July 25, 201115 yr The Reds had good attendance numbers for the weekend. They need to get on a roll. Attendance is up 4,000 per game. I would guess that equates to $12-15 million in additional revenue. They should have the money to take on salary in a deal if they want to.

If they can't get to first by the end of August, then I won't have much hope they can win the division again.

It's kind of hard to read a pattern into that, given that this is only his second full season. If Stubbs wants to take a step forward, though, he has to show better plate discipline and find ways to get on base more often. If he does it enough to fit better in the leadoff spot, those strikeouts don't hurt quite as much.

True but so far in his short career he has been better and he has started off better this 2nd half as well.
