Dusty being fired. :D

In the end, isn't everyone?

I'm sure it won't happen soon enough for some.

And if he brought Masset in and he gave up a bomb to Pujols you'd be battling EZ for first in line to rip Dusty for putting Masset in there when he's been so bad against those guys for his career. It's always a lose lose situation with you guys and Dusty.

You're wrong on the reasoning there. I might have ripped Dusty for other reasons but I don't rely on lifetime stats to make a judgement. I look more at what have you done for me lately. If you go on lifetime there was no way Charlie Morton and James McDonald were going to shut out the Reds the last 2 nights. Vegas would have loved to take your money on those 2 games based on the lifetime stats of those 2 pitchers especially McDonald' numbers versus the Reds.

Well your stat is pointless, it's 2 at bats.

Zero would be pointless. Two has some relevance.

I didn't get to watch or listen to the game, but just got to follow a small portion on my MLB app. Please, please, somebody tell me that Dusty didn't call for a squeeze play with Cairo batting and 2 strikes on him.

He caught them off guard on that one didn't he? :D :idunno:

Unbelievable !! He said after the game he thought the last pitch was a ball and the count was 3-1. That makes me feel better. I'd take those new glasses back Dusty because you can't see the HD Gigantic video !!!

If you're thinking about calling it why not on 2-1? Why wait until 3-1?

What does this tell you about this team? The manager doesn't know the count, so he sends a signal to the 3rd base coach who you hopes knows the count. So why does he not call time and make sure he and the manager are both on the same page and know what the count is? Okay so he sends the sign anyway to the batter who you hope knows the count. So why doesn't he call time and talk to the coach who can then maybe look at the manager for a clarification? No he goes ahead and strikes out attempting to bunt with 2 strikes. The other manager has to be really enjoying all of this. Someone else made a comment about this team that it is totally disfunctional. I think it fits perfectly.

1500 innings and roughly 22,000 pitches a year and he didn't know the count one time. And, anyone with a clue will tell you not to watch the scoreboard when you don't know the count. As soon as you do, it will be incorrect. There's a reason the players turn around and ask the ump for the count and not the big screen. Should he have known the count, absolutely.

This is why I've stayed out of the Reds threads this year. Gets old fast.......

The count was 2-2 not 3-1. Dusty thought it was 3-1. Runners on 1rst & 3rd with one out. He calls suicide and the pitch is low and away. Cairo tries to get it but fouls it off. So strike 3 and now 2 outs with runners on the corners. :taz:

Cairo is a veteran. One would think when he gets the sign he might back out and clarify the situation. Same for Mark Berry. I love the Reds but this is stuff we expect from the Bengals. I am a Bengals fan as well. People wonder why I drink... :irked:

Probably thought he was trying to catch them off guard and didn't want to tip their hand. I am surprised that Berry didn't ask him to repeat the sign, though.

Laughable managerial move. More laughable defending it.

If Masset or Cordero are blowing game they're in more trouble than I thought.

The Cowboy was very critical of Arroyo coming back out or the 7th inning. He said it's very clear he's a 6 inning pitcher at this point.
