Track The NL Central Champion Reds (Week 8)

You fell to mention that he made 75 errors and missed 200 cut-off men.

Give us his stats since the all star break last year. If Baker keeps putting him in the lineup he is dumber than I suspected and that is nearly impossible.

Neither of which are true. Try again. Baker has given other guys starts in his spot but he is still trying to give him some what of a chance to get out of this funk. I bet you won't see him starting tomorrow.

Juan Castro had a game winning hit tonight. Maybe we can get him back. But he's not nearly as passionate as JPU.

He did put up most of his numbers before the all -star break, which shows you just how productive he can be when he gets hot.

You don't want to make that bet. Dusty had already stated that Gomes would be the DH the 1st 2 games of the series.

I must have over looked that.

Another game and very limited offense. Like the announcers stated that most of our hits were bleeders just into the outfield. Dusty left Wood in to long and everyone know that kid was a bunter except for Dusty and our infield. I just have a bad feeling that this kind of luck is going to continue on this road trip.

I'll take passion over skill any day of the week.

I am a proud member of the Homer Bailey fan club.

Remember when people were saying we should trade him for Jermaine Dye?

How can Gomes be placed in the lineup every day going 0-4 with 3 Ks...he's pitiful to watch and he's killing the team. You only get 27 outs in a ball game and he's good for 3 or 4 every single night out.

The Reds may well be 5 or 6 games back by the time they return to GABP.

I wasn't saying to trade him for Dye specifically but I do admit to giving up on him and wanting to try and deal him. I thought with the attitude (I know everything about pitching) that he would not get much if any better than he was then. I am glad that,so far anyway, I was wrong and they kept him. Bailey as others lately pitched well enough to win, that is an understatement.

I am just hoping that the Reds can avoid the sweep tommorrow and come out of Philly and then a set with Atlanta without being around 5+ games or so back. Another understatement- the Reds have to score some runs, the bats are non existant.

Volquez going tommorrow, lets hope that he doesn't dig a big hole for himself early.

Because the first half of last year he didn't suck.

Look I completely agree. I'm just really impressed that he didn't swing at the pitch out in his last at bat.

OK I'm guilty of exaggerating a bit. But he still sucks.

If the Reds decide to reach down to Louisville for a little offensive help there are some guys tearing it up over the last 10 games.

Francisco .410 16 for 39 2 HRs 9 RBIs 8 Ks

Alonso .410 16 for 39 2 HRs 8 RBIs 4 Ks

Sappelt .333 10 for 30 1 HR 4 RBIs 7 Ks

Frazier .333 11 for 33 3 HRs 11 RBIs 5 Ks

Mesorasco .333 13 for 39 2 HRs 8 RBIs 8 Ks

Cozart .326 15 for 46 0 HRs 2 RBIs 5 Ks
