May 19, 201115 yr ^It's amazing. They're hitting pitches in the upper half of the zone straight into the ground. It takes talent to accomplish that.
May 19, 201115 yr Holy guacamole. Renteria can't field the throw from Masset at 2nd. This has been a circus. The Cubs rubbed off on our Reds.
May 19, 201115 yr 5-1 now. Cairo can't field a hot shot to his backhand side. Rolen would likely have made that one.
May 19, 201115 yr How great this is; they sweep the Cards and sweep a miniseries over the Cubs than lose two straight again to the Pirates. Can't say I anticipated losing 5 out of 6 to the Pirates at home.
May 19, 201115 yr Was going to post this yesterday but never got a chance. The Reds offense after the Cards series have gone into the tank. We hit terrible against the Cubs but they gave us two games and the Pirates ate our lunch. Three runs in two games. Now we going on the toughest road trip of the season and the Reds are searching for offemse. We need to win five but unless we hit ithe Reds may struggle to win three.
May 20, 201115 yr Yes, the Pirates are improved and C. Hurdle has put some life and much needed confidence in them. Having said that they are still a bad baseball team and there is no way around that, the Reds should have beaten them. Alot of teams have trouble with a team that they should dominate but for whatever reason lower themselves to that teams level and not play well. Now the Reds had better get it in gear, the Indians are very good and this is the start of a road trip from Cleveland to Philly and Atlanta. This trip could very well bury them way down below the Cards.
