May 3, 201115 yr For those of you on Facebook you've probably seen this on your wall. Let's be clear on this: OBAMA DID NOT KILL BIN LADEN. An American soldier, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to pay, did. OBAMA just happened to be in office when our soldiers finally found OBL and took him out. This is NOT an OBAMA victory, it is an AMERICAN victory!!! Repost if you agree. A few problems I have with it: When did the President say or indicate he wasn't going to pay soldiers? If we are crediting the military shouldn't the Commander-in-Chief also take part in the credit? Lastly, some of you know how I can't stand the POTUS not being referred to as "President."
May 3, 201115 yr Here is my take on this nonsense. Obama gave the go ahead to our Brave American Soliders to carry out their mission. I credit our soldiers for their efforts and dedication to their Country. We can never say thank you enough or give them enough credit. As for Obama. I credit him for having the courage to approve the mission. Because had it not worked and we lost our brave soldiers, then those same people would want to hang Obama for a bad decision. People will do whatever it takes to discredit the President. Is he a hero? No. But we do owe him a thank you for carrying out is duty as President and Commander and Cheif.

It's not a pro-military post in most cases. It's anti-President Obama. Sad.
May 3, 201115 yr While I don't agree with the sentiment I really think the Obamunists need to grow a thicker skin. Criticism (sometimes very harsh) goes with the territory. It's funny but I really don't remember all of this righteous indignation from the left when Cindy Sheehan and the Code Pinkers tore Bush a new one.

This is worse than any other President had to deal with! No matter what Obama says or does, these idiots are going to find some fault, or soem how twist things around, or simply make things up! It's just the radicals, but people actually repost this garbage! I see this at times in emails too, I REALLY get on the person who sends them, I call them out for not researching it on a site such as snopes, and I send it to "reply all".

People have a problem with others on facebook crediting President Obama with something "He got done what Bush couldn't", that's where you're getting this anger/uprising from.
May 3, 201115 yr To elucidate a bit on this, the unit that actually took out OBL was Seal Team 6 otherwise known as DEVGRU. They are one of the United States' two secretive Tier One counter-terrorism and Special Mission Units (SMUs). The other group is 1st SFOD-D or more commonly known as Delta Force. This unit reports directly to the POTUS and operationally commanded by the JSOC (Joint Special Operations Command). Basically, anything that this unit does was previously approved and run by the POTUS so Obama was well aware of what was going on down to the last detail. These guys are the best of the best and run any and all Black Ops that we run around the world as well as Delta Force. Just a bit of a tid bit...
