I will go with the Xmen by two TD's.

Is X worn out from their tough road to the final? Does T see the ring at the end of the tunnel? This will be a good hard fought game with both teams laying it out to the final second. After watching T against HC, X will have to be worried about another RB (Petrino). Nick ran the ball as good as our other RB's. Game will come down to a final minute field goal kicked by T, so I'm predicting the Rocks by 1-3 points. GO ROCKS>>>>TAKE STATE>>>>>>

The beating X laid down on Trinity was remarkable. X dominated every facet of that game. For the sake of everyone brave enough to venture out to the game Friday, I hope Trinity comes to play. However, for Trinity to make such a turnaround and actually win this game would be very surprising.

 

It seems to me that Trinity has played a very weak schedule this season, aside from X, Henry Clay, and their early trip to Nashville. X, on the other hand, is very battle-tested and has won several close games, which is to their advantage.

 

That being said, I think X's offensive AND defensive lines are too much for Trinity. X should win by at least 2 TD's, but likely more than that.

Who would have been the public school winner in 4A? Henry Clay?

 

No doubt HC would have to have been the favorite! They would have played better against Trinity too, but for the turnovers!

X's crushing of the pebbles in Sept means nothing, I think t has confidence they were lacking in Sept

 

If X can produce long pounding drives they win again

 

If t produces big plays and get our d guessing it will be very close

I am happy to see that you like your teams chances. I suspect that the Trinity team will be brave enough to show up on Friday. I just hope we can make a game of it, given the complete domination of all comers by the ex-men and our very weak schedule . Gosh, what is it that allows the ex-men to be so dominant? I think that Trinity shows just how much of a "cream puff" side of the bracket they play in by winning this one. Go ROCKS!

Relax. I am just stating what many people already believe. If you read my post, I do truly hope it is a close game. Blowouts, like the one in September, bore me.

 

Read my post. We haven't "dominated all comers" as you seem to say I imply. In fact, I clearly stated that X has had a lot of close games, which is an advantage of sorts.

 

Your sarcasm adds nothing to your posts and belittles the efforts of your fellow alumns who have added value to this board with insightful contributions .

 

On any given night, a school with as much talent and hard-working students as Trinity can always beat X. However, for them to pull off the upset, they would have to have gained a lot of ground. That was my primary point.

While I think us beating X is a tough chore, it is certainly do-able. At worst, I think the final margin will lie less than double digits.

I think it comes down to whether Trinity has the ability to stop the run, and their commitment to running the ball when they have it, even if they go down a score or two early.

Running against this group of Tigers will be very difficult.They just shut it down and have all season. They might bend a little early while feeling other team out but after that it is a brick wall.The rocks only hope is through the air.

We don't need to be totally succesful running, just enough to keep your linebackers honest, and not allow for your ends "sell out" on their stunts.
