Playing IRONMAN Football against St. X, Is that a good idea?

It will be a very long 4th quarter for the Rocks. I sure hope the score board has enough lights for all of those Tiger Points.

There is a picture of Lt. Col. Kevin Meredith (I beleive hanging in the locker room ) in Iraq in full fatigues and weapon. He had painted on a wall "STRENGTH & HONOR" "TAKE STATE 2005" The picture was taken last summer. He is standing by the sign in all his military glory. It has been a theme for the team this year. It really brings you to your knees to see it and makes the whold war thing very real. His son Mason (Sr DB) knows his dad will be there in spirit and he will once again make his dad proud. :thumb:

Didn't mean it as an insult. It was a cool line from a great movie. When Romans met they clasp hands and said "Strengh and Honor". The movie predates the Iraq war. As far as I know it isn't a standard USMC phrase. I'm sure the guys in his unit liked the ring of it.

Not likely, and Trinity is in ideal shape.

I don't think you quite understand what is going on at Trinity. The Rocks don't have 8 or 9 guys that play every down like you see in the lower classes or at some of the public schools around town. In addition to the original D linemen, as many as 6 original O lineman rotate in for a few downs or series periodically. I hope that clears things up for you. Good luck to both teams.

Time to get a move on. GO ROCKS GO!!!

Just returned from the St. Francis Xavier feast day mass at St. X., and the Tiger team and student body is ready for this game. It will be a much closer result than the September game, especially with the beefier pebble OL also playing DL, and the pebble offense running a lot of screens and draws to negate the St. X. defensive pressure. In the end, however, the better TEAM will emerge as the victor (as maybe in Anderson :D )...Saint Xavier 2005 Class 4A State Champs...Tigers 31 - pebbles 21.

:ylsuper: :fight: GET'EM TIGERS!! :fight: :ylsuper:

I like the wat that sounds. Go Tigers bring it home! I'm out of here!

Trinity will be fired up and score early in the game. The Tigers will start slow and take control in the 2nd half and win by 10.

Good luck to everyone.

Just got back from Feeder's Supply with Lucky, The RockDog....I bought him 2 toys....a stuffed tiger, and a stuffed shamrock. Gave them both to him....the tiger's already got it's head ripped off and the stuffing removed....

I'll take that as an omen...and the Rocks win tonight!

GO ROCKS GO!

Go Rocks. Couldn't be more proud of this team. Makes an old alum smile and beam with pride.

The taste of defeat was bitter for all, but it only makes the taste of victory that much sweeter.

Rocks 31

Tigers 27

Go Rocks.....

I am out.

Go Tigers!!!!

Gone to the game.
