No. we got it from a real hero. Although he won't be attending this one in person, I promise he will be listing on the internet. Thanks Mr. Meredith for all that you do & Go Tigers!

Never too far for a son's game

Yeah, I remember reading that. I bet he got it from the movie.

Since I'll be out of touch until after game time, I'll make my prediction now. Trinity will score on the first offensive drive. The ex-men will score in the second quarter to knot it at 7. In the third quarter, each team will get a touchdown. Eddie Webb will kick a 44 yard field goal in the fourth. Final score Trinity 17, ex-men 14. For only the second time (and first since 1970), I won't be there when Trinity plays for the title. Good luck Rocks.

Trinity Forever!

The cyrstal ball has been cloudy.... visions of snaps over punters heads.... kicks hitting goal posts..... what a history! The two best - center stage - good luck to all..... One of the most amazing plays ever seen will win this one. Don't be late and don't leave early. Final score 26 - 21

P.S. 8 hours til kickoff.... are you ready for some football!

We applaud both fine teams and programs on representing the best of KY 4A football tonight. There are no losers on the field tonight. May the best team win in a well played football game marked by good sportsmanship and 100% effort. Good luck to all Rocks and Tigers!

There is a picture of Lt. Col. Kevin Meredith (I beleive hanging in the locker room ) in Iraq in full fatigues and weapon. He had painted on a wall "STRENGTH & HONOR" "TAKE STATE 2005" The picture was taken last summer. He is standing by the sign in all his military glory. It has been a theme for the team this year. It really brings you to your knees to see it and makes the whold war thing very real. His son Mason (Sr DB) knows his dad will be there in spirit and he will once again make his dad proud. :thumb:

^ that is very special....

*****Prediction #1*****

Trinity will have the ball first. (If X wins, they will defer, if we win, we will take it)

*****Prediction #2*****

The margin of victory will be single digits.

*****Prediction #3*****

Some unheralded kid will be the hero of the game

*****Prediction #5*****

We will all be treated to the best of the best playing.

*****Prediction #6*****

Vic Anderson will throw a pass.

Go Rocks, Take STATE

I truly feel that the Rocks have the ability to win this game. Will they? Only time can tell, there is something to be said, and I am sure that they have quite the chip on their shoulder, and also feel the lack of respect in this forum. With that, and a brialliant game plan, I say the Rocks are the victors...

It is 27 at noon and a high now of 31 expected. It will be wuite cold and a huge dose of Mattingly will be in store. I hate to use this cliche' but bring on the thunder and Lightning. There will be a lot of veer in this game with teh keep.

I think that we will be ready for the veer tonight....

PRIDE, DISCIPLINE, LOYALTY, ACHIEVEMENT.

It's not so much a matter of "being ready for it" as it is being strong, quick and disciplined enough to stop it. St. X didn't really run as much veer as I form last game anyway. We'll see if they can stop a St. X offense that has also improved substantially since then.

Just returned from the St. Francis Xavier feast day mass at St. X., and the Tiger team and student body is ready for this game. It will be a much closer result than the September game, especially with the beefier pebble OL also playing DL, and the pebble offense running a lot of screens and draws to negate the St. X. defensive pressure. In the end, however, the better TEAM will emerge as the victor (as maybe in Anderson )...Saint Xavier 2005 Class 4A State Champs...Tigers 31 - pebbles 21.
