I take seriously what you and Leatherneck post in this forum. The tradition between our family's runs deep and I enjoy the bonds over the decades of HHS football that have been accomplished by our family's.

Trinity game is also at The Pit.

I will have to agree with Whackem'n'Stackem' that it will be a circus over there and a lot of fun to watch. With that being said I don't have a clue at this point who comes out on top in this one.

Does it even matter what Elders record is " if " the Birds win at the "pit" ? Will it be bigger than the " 09 " win vs. Cinti X ?

 

IMHO...not unless Elder & HHS are nationally ranked, undefeated, and game is televised by a national network (CBS/ESPN). A win at the Pit is HUGE...but a loss to Ryle/CovCath/Dixie etc...would make it severely less of an accomplishment. I guess what I'm tring to get at is: For next year, PLEASE BIRDS...one game at a time!

Highlands couldn't beat Ryle at the end of the season and you think Highlands can hang with Elder come on get serious!

Just playing in the GCL South is a brutul schedule, then to have the other teams the Panthers have on there is crazy, but awesome to showcase the kids. Probably why the GCL South is so well thought of nationally.

There's no war amongst the "families" or any thing close. Some of us (and it's not just me) think the Birds and their fans should be focused on Boyle and others think we should be talking about what happens if we beat Elder at the Pit. It's no big deal either way to me. I was just expressing my thoughts. I'm a "take one game at a time" kind of person, so obviously the game with Elder is pretty irrelevant to me right now and how big of a win it would be, if we win, is stuff to talk about after we beat them, if we beat them. But to each their own.

I would say every state champion win is bigger than a win at the Pit. But it will be interesting, and looking at Elder's schedule might be the least important game of the year for them.
