Who advertised that he was great offensively? I thought he looked like a linebacker playing offense myself.:lol: Fortunately he will be on defense in college.

 

I have heard other people speculate that us may get bigger and be moved to DL also. Haven't heard that from any coaches though. He was clocked at 4.57 in the 40 at US Army All Star game and he brought his A game enough during that week of practice to be named a starter on his All Star team and was named one of the top 3 linebackers from both teams during that week also. He did play nicked up all season long this year and was never fully 100% from week 1. That being said I don't think it matters where he chose he needs to bring his A game to every practice regardless. What is the point of playing D-1 football if your heart and head won't allow you to bring your A game everyday?

 

I definitely look forward to seeing how his body shapes up after a year of working out and training at a D-1 school. He has never had to work the way he is getting ready to have to work and I truly expect tremendous results because of that.

I've said since he was being recruited, he will eventually end up with his hand on the ground. It is a great thing to have a kid like that from a small town go to a big time school.

Friends and family can still watch him play. On tv because USC is on every week. I do find it funny that people keep commenting about his family when they have no idea what his family situation is.

 

If anyone thinks he can't come back to Boyle County and be employed you are mistaken.

Lamar grew up a USC fan as a child and has admitted it that multiple times. He received an opportunity to live his childhood dream and he is doing it. I don't see what UK can offer to out do that.

If you are a big time D1 recruit like going to USC, you should dominate any thing you do, whether it be LB/RB or LB/TE. I didnt see that from him. How many players built like him who was clocked at 4.5 not dominate on both sides of the ball. Yes I believe i saw him a few times and he did not give his Big time recruit A GAME every play. He even sat most of the Corbin game, what big timer does that. Good luck to him as he competes agaisnt some of the best, I will be curious to see if he steps on the field or recruited over by better players. I say he wont make it 2 years.

We can agree to disagree then. My comment wasn't sarcastic. It was real talk. I keep seeing many UK fans saying "why would he go so far away from his family?". I may have already said too much but I think the question may possibly answer itself if people would step back and look at reasoning for moving across the country.

 

I would think with a degree from USC he could find a job anywhere after football. Does he even want to come back to central Ky after football? Maybe that played a part in his decision as well.

Corbin game? The game when he returned an interception 50+ yards with turf toe so bad he could barely walk?

 

Corbin game? The game he sat out the last quarter and a half because we were up by 3-4 touchdowns and he sprained his ankle and had his knee wrapped halfway through the third quarter so they took him out to rest him?

 

Dominate on offense when no one was asking him too?

 

Wow. You are hard to please then. 3 seasons in a row with over 150 tackles, 2 int's returned for tds this year(both 40+ yards), 32 total tackles in a game, 15 rushing tds on offense(as our #3 running back). Mr. Football 2010, BGP Player of the Year. Yeah, on second thought I am not impressed either.

 

 

He was good enough to start in the US Army All Star game. If he isn't good enough to play solidly for 3 years at USC I blame his work ethic. Physically and mentally he is ready.

He played no offense at all and came out of the game for good during the 3rd quarter with a knee injury. He also sprained his ankle that game and came into the with turf toe. We were up by 28. Why should he play the whole game when it was obvious he needed to rest?

 

I think he'll be fine. I can't wait to see if I am right about that. I think it is great when the state of Ky can send kids like Austin Collingsworth to ND and Lamar to USC.

I can't say that I blame him for going to a program like USC. Good luck to him, I wonder when the last time a player from UK signed with USC was, if ever?
