For me, the player that seems to be getting overlooked on this team and others is Ty Seidl, Highlands DB. He was to Highlands defense in 2010 what Roller was in 2009, an indispensable and necessary part. If he hadn't missed part of the second Ryle game, I believe Highlands would have won that game and gone undefeated. Take him off the field, and Highlands loses. If I have to replace someone, I'll go ahead and replace Abner of Highlands because IMO Seidl was the better of the two this year.

As Scribe said, if you are going to make an argument for someone, then you have to argue against a current member of the all BGP team.

Wow don't know who at Bluegrasspreps represents Fern Creek but, somebody needed to do their homework. A couple of these guys missed games do to suspensions and missed practices. Word is some had offers pulled due to these instances. Don't know what criteria is to make this team but...............

Just what the heck good is having cake if you don't get to eat it? I know you're just repeating the phrase, but if you think about it, the phrase makes no sense.

Plus, I'm sure a smart guy like yourself understands the phrase as meaning "wanting it all".

Now that this list is out, can someone add the college commitments/offers that these players have given/received. I know these are some decent athletes, but how many are student/athletes that excelled on the field and in the classroom and impressed college scouts and are clearinghouse qualified? Personally, I'm not one to credit so high any kid who won't work just as hard in the classroom as he will on the field or in the weight room.

Glad to see JR Tyler Combs make it. I think he's the 1st from Lawrence Co to ever manke it. He had some great college camps last summer and has received an offer from Marshall so far.

As for the jab at JJ Jude he's legit. Teams like Highlands, Cov Cath, Knox and Bell aren't push overs.

Vinny Miller from Henry Clay is a kid to look out for next year that didn't make the list along with Adam Wing from Rowan Co.

A couple of kids that I got to see this year that were as good as anybody I'd seen were Turner O'Brian safety Lawrence Co and the ILB from Perry Central. That kid didn't get much pub but he was flat out sideline to sideline. Best H.S. backer I'd seen in person since I watched Roller from Highlands.

I can't say one was better than the other this year but I will agree that Ty seemed to be the heart of the defense. Couldn't go wrong with either of them, or Bruns for that matter.

Interesting that the team is comprised of (3) WR and (0) TE? Would also like to have seen a center named, not just OL. I believe a good center is the key to a good OL.
