I agree. While I am a huge UK fan, I wouldn't mind seeing him attend another school. He wants the right system and right coaching to get to the next level. I can't wait til he makes his choice.

One of his goals is to play on Sundays and when I look at his choices my thought process is which of these schools will benefit him the most when it comes to attaining his post collegiate goals and UK is not the top choice. I will support him wherever he decides to go without question I just can't buy the argument that UK is the best place for him.

USC would normally be the way to go as they produce way more NFL starting LBs than the other 3, probably combined. Purple, send the man down to the U, where real LBs are bred to be winners . Barrow, Lewis, Morgan, Williams, Vilma, Armstead......Dawson would have been a nice fit there.

I don't know if they offered him. FSU, Alabama and Virginia Tech never offered him. I was sick when he told FSU didn't offer him. The day after he told me that Oklahoma put 45 points on them. Go figure.

If he really wants to get himself ready for the rest of his life, maybe he should play for Harvard, or Princeton. What an education and if he has the talent we think that he does, the NFL will find him.

True, but just like Harvard or Princeton will get him better prepared for life outside of football better than say....UK or UL.....USC, Florida, and Oregon will get him better prepared for the NFL than say.....UK or UL, not to mention the experiences that come with playing for a winning football Division 1 football program. Like Urban Meyer told Lamar as he was holding the BCS National Championship Trophy...."do you want to play for one of those or for 4th place in the SEC East?" I definitely agree if he is good enough the NFL will find him but I would like to see him actually play in the NFL not hold his helmet on the sidelines in the NFL and his goal is to play in the NFL. I just don't see many UK football linebackers playing linebacker in the NFL and the linebackers at UK have arguably been their best players on defense for the past decade at least. I do see a lot of Florida and definitely USC linebackers playing every Sunday. To think things would be similar or the same for him if he chooses UK over those 3 schools is naive.

Someone asked him about Centre last night and his answer to that question that they didn't offer him a scholarship.

This guy is the real deal....I have seen him play against my beloved Bobcats the last few years. I hope he does pick the school that is the right fit for him, i would like to see him in Ky. Blue on saturdays of course but he needs to pick the one that makes him happy. Good luck Rebels and Mr. Dawson in the upcoming playoffs.

Saw on ESPNU this afternoon that Oregon was looking at tape on Dawson. A small segment on how Oregon is now recruiting nationwide, a fairly recent development.
