I don't know if they offered him. FSU, Alabama and Virginia Tech never offered him. I was sick when he told FSU didn't offer him. The day after he told me that Oklahoma put 45 points on them. Go figure.

 

Miami didn't offer him I don't think. They like to stay in state for LBs under Shannon. Too bad, he could get alot of early PT there. Not that he'd probably go to the U anyway if offered.

 

And he looks like a FSU LB to me. I guess they've just loaded up so much at the position in the last few years they aren't going after as many as usual.

My son, who is a junior, believes he is going to Oregon or Florida. I know he has taken 2 unofficial visits to Florida and I think he is taking an official visit there later.

Maybe I am just prideful? I would rather repersent my home state.

 

I know a lot of KY high school basketball players that would love to represent the state. Don't hear anyone screaming about putting more homegrown talent on the court.

From what I have been told he really enjoyed his visit there but didn't enjoy the long flight. He has been very tight lipped about his choices. No one around town and I mean no one has the slightest clue which direction he is leaning. Even during the chat the other night you couldn't get anything out of him. Someone asked him why UT is on his list. His answer was something like....it's the SEC, I like the facilities, I like the coaches.:lol: I have been around him when UK fans are begging him to go to UK and he just laughs and smiles and takes it all in. People get on his facebook page and tell him to go to Oregon and Florida. It's hilarious to see him in person because he is so humble and seemingly unaffected by the recruiting frenzy. No one is recruiting him harder than UK because he is around UK fans 24/7 constantly. Everywhere he turns it is "go to UK, Lamar!!!" And he handles it so well. I can't say I would be able to do the same. Just a great kid who is beloved by all of his peers all over town regardless of their school. Knowing a lot more about his upbringing you can't help but root for him and wish him well. If he goes to UK, I am fine with that. If he goes to Florida, the FSU fan in me will root for the Gators except for their last regular season game. To know this kid is to want to see him succeed and see all of his dreams come true. Which is why I hope he goes to USC, Oregon or Florida.:lol:

 

 

That being said, I still think he goes to UK. :lol:
