Trinity vs Boone Co.

Featured Replies

It could go either way. We saw first hand what SOPHS can do on both extremes...

I can agree with that. If the same Boone team shows up, T better not be looking ahead to the Final 4, they better expect a war.

 It's comical how cocky you guys actually are. You would think that Dixie last year would humble you. If you think the ROCKS will roll big, be ready for a rude awakening.

I would have to say that if anyone is being cocky its the Boone Rebels. Why wouldn't I think the Rocks will roll big? I ask for someone to tell me how Boone hopes to beat the Rocks. All I get is that Boone will run up the gut, well surprise, surprise. I think we all saw that coming. How does this one sophmore stack up to the potent running attack of Miles Davis and James Brown of a couple of years ago? Not well I'm guessing.Lots of yards in that game against the Rocks but not many points. Isn't it funny how those one demensional teams get clogged up down in the red zone. I have a feeling that Boone will lose and lose big.

Trinity fans I don't know how we can expect to beat Boone County. Remember the quote by their coach after they rolled that perennial contender Ballard. He said something to the effect that Louisville teams can't handle a physical football team because all we do is pass.

It's been a great season but since we are only something like 12-1 against NKY 4A teams I guess it's just not in the cards for us to win. :sssh:

Please were have you been living? Contender BALLARD, Funny.

Ballard football was a joke this year.

Make sure to stop by Wallgreeens get some box Kleenex, cause Basketball season will begin Saturday morning. ROCKS ROLL

As much as I want Boone to win this one my score is gonna be..

Trinity-48

Boone-10

I had to read this thread a couple of times after your comment that the Boone Rebets are being the cocky ones. I don't see it from the Boone fans or, in fact, from anyone that posts from NKY. What I do see is RH saying "Rocks roll" and "stop at Walgreens for Kleenex", you saying "I hope NKY enjoys its last week of 4A football", and SS talking about Trinity's "high octane fast paced offense". Please let me know where I've overlooked the BC cockiness.

You want Boone fans to tell you how they will beat Trinity. Yet the same thing you want from the Boone fans you fail to provide for the non Trinity football fan that wants insight into Trinity for this game. All you talked about in your earlier posts is the record of teams Boone lost to and years that had different players on it than this year's team.

You also mentioned that it is hard to make a case for a BC victory over Trinity. Was it just as hard to make that case for Dixie last year? What most football fans like myself want to hear from Trinity fans is not only that your team is a a super offensive squad and that they will roll big. Tell us non Trinity followers why. It would be nice to hear more of a discussion of what the Trinity fans think the team needs to do to win, besides just showing up. What has made the team successful in the past seven games? Does the pass open up the run or vice versa? What was Trinity's failures against MBA and X? Were these self inflicted or was Trinity not good enough to win? Tell us how you expect Trinity will execute the game plan to roll over BC.

Nice Post!! I would have to say that I agree. Yes, more times than not, Trinity does have the game won before it has started. But the Trinity fans on here could atleast be humble enough to tell us why there going to win. You do have to do more than just show up. Anything can happen on Friday Nights as you Rock Fans found out the hard way last year. Will history repeat itself again? Who knows. We won't find out until this coming Friday night at St. Matthews.

Please note that before I am accused of saying anything good about Ballard that my eniire post was intended as (though not well executed) sarcasm.

Hey....while I know I am cocky  ...I try to keep my "rock" colored glasses off for the most part!

I am VERY well aware of what happened last year and will not forget that anytime soon!!! :irked:

I don't think it will be blow out. I think that ANY team can be beaten on ANY given night.

I do think T wins this one....28 -14.

Well, I will take off my rose colored glasses and tell you after a little bit of research from the thread last year the score prediction is NKY 21- Rock's 45.

Need I say more? GO BOONE!!! :thumb:

I think NKY football 4A is great. Nuff said

I never said NKY football is not great.

My statement about being cocky was a response to a similar comment by "original rookie", a Boone fan I suppose. He was commenting on how the Rocks were in for a surprise and you can't use comparative scores of earlier games this year etc. I will admit that it is hard to tell who is a Boone fan and who is a NKY fan hoping that Boone represents. Sorry, but unless posters identify themselves that is a mistake that will happen again.

If you would read all the previous posts you will see that I asked how a one demensional team like Boone hoped to defeat the Rocks. I pointed out that this has never worked in the past even with superior players. It isn't like Trinity and Boone have some storied rivalry, Trinity owns Boone. I have pointed out why I think this is and asked how it will be different this year. I am making the assumption that Boone runs the ball very well. OK, the Rocks run the ball well and pass well and have great special teams along with superior depth and are at home. That adds up to another Boone defeat. Can the Rebels win, sure they can. You know on any given Friday... Will they win, I really don't think they have much of a chance. "original rookie" pointed out that Boone runs the ball well and that the Rebels will exploit that. That looked to be the case in our last game with Boone, how many points did the Rebels score in that game on their field? Three, and that was with the tandem of Brown and Davis and Boone was the one seed. I just think that for the most part NKY teams play power run football and when they play teams that can really spread the field they can't keep up. Tell me the flip side. Boone gave up a ton of points to teams that don't have half the weapons that the Rocks have. The Rocks two losses were to a pretty good MBA team on the road against a team that was spanked a week earlier by a nationally ranked team in the Rocks opener. If you want to know any details about the beat-down we received at the hands of X, just ask some of your buddies over at Highlands. I think X is the odds on favorite to win 4A this year, I just hope the Rocks can win a couple more to get the chance to spoil their victory party. FYI, its pretty sad that in all of NKY 4A your only claim to fame is a 14-10 win over the Rocks. You guys need to act like it wasn't such a big deal and maybe the rest of us will think that it may happen again sometime.

What a surprise, you're talking about when Boone only scored 3 points on Trinity a few years back, I forgot you still have that same team. If you haven't paid any attention to Boone in the past couple years, then let me tell you that the 'power run' isn't the only thing they do anymore. Trinity has owned Boone in the past, and they very well could on Friday, but I don't really think you go into a playoff game expecting a blowout (see Dixie last year). You call me cocky for saying that the Rebels will compete in this game, that is extremely comical.

P.S. - Who's basketball season started earlier last year?

P.S.S. - I'm not going to get into stupid little arguments all week, if I'm an idiot for thinking the Rebels have a chance, then so be it. We must bring our A+ game though, if not, we will be in for a very long night. Good luck to both teams!

What will be the ticket situation for the game? Will they sell them at the gate, or presale only?
