Simon Kentons overtime sequence was PATHETIC. A team that has zero run game outside of their QB lines up in power I, and tries to run a sweep. Awful call. Then again on 4th down you run a route with one reciever. I don't care if Simon Kenton gets the 4th and 4, it was an absolutely horrible call to go for it. Wr #35 was the best player on the field all night so if your going to throw him a ball don't wait till 4th down.

#35 had some outstanding catches and looks to be a very good WR. He was not, however, the best player on the field or the player that had the most impact on the game.

This is very true the last 2 weeks vs. CCHS and SK. They actually defended the pass well vs. CC and Highlands early in the year and must figure out how to get back to that level of pass defense.

In defense of Ryle's secondary, it's tough to cover a WR for 7-8 seconds while Lawrence is scrambling around and buying time. On a couple of long completions, the Ryle DB was right there, but the SK WR (usually #35) just made a great catch. There were a couple of blown coverages, but just about any defense is going to run into pass coverage issues with a scrambling QB like Lawrence. That being said, they are going to have to show they can shut down a good passing team. They'll get their chance this coming week with Conner.

I'm sure that the Raiders will continue to make personnel adjustments to improve their defense. Great attitude on this team. They simply do not get down no matter the situation.

Unfortunately that's about all they could do is go to state. No sour grapes here, but neither Ryle or SK would be within 3 td's of Trinity this season. Ryle is better than last season but still not good enough, Trinity is much better than last year.

Sounds like a great game between two teams. If I was a fan of Ryle, I would be careful in saying Ryle is just the better team. You don't want to put yourself in the same spot as UKfan, because these two teams probably will see each other again. They seem pretty even, and just Ryle made one more play than SK that night.

I said the same thing last night. Many of Chad's completions occur during plays that take a ton of time, and to be a DB against him must make for one long night.
