SK had just made a great play to put Ryle at 3rd 8 and I thought to myself about how well SK had done at slowing down Elliot and really containing him and I was impressed as it looked like SK was about to get the ball back with single digits left in the game and up 7. Then on that 3rd and 8 Elliot broke a LONG one and I just sat there and felt like I'd just been sucker punched in the gut. Elliot's not very illusive until he get past the second level but then he's pretty darn hard for any one to catch and he does a great job of keeping his legs moving to help him get up field while breaking tackles.

Lawrence rushed for 152 yards and threw for 229 yards on 17-31 passing (1 INT; 2 TD). Winkler (#35) had 112 yds. receiving on 7 catches.

 

Hempel was 8-17 (1 INT) for 127 yds. throwing; 107 rushing with 3 TD's. Elliott had 21 carries for 163 yards and 2 TD's.
