OK, I'll say it and pay for it later, does this mean that if Highlands beat Ryle that Highlands would beat and is better than SK?

Chad Lawrence is one of the most dynamic playmakers I've seen in NKY in a long, long time.

 

Hempel played a great game. Both qb's have amazing feet and instincts.

Congrats to Jeff Huntley for making the most critical play of the game, but really the entire Ryle team showed tremendous willpower throughout the see-saw game. Ryle benefited from being first defender in OT and forcing Sk to gamble and pass on the FG.

I just got home from the game. I saw two things that really stuck out to me. First Chad Lawerence is very elusive and is pretty much SK's whole offense. The second is Ryle could have the worst pass defense I have seen in a long long time. It was absolutely awful...Fun game to watch though...It looks to me that Ryle has regressed since I saw them against the Birds earlier in the year.Yes Henry HHS would beat SK pretty bad if they played..

I'm going to take a guess and say they were going for the win.:idunno:

What an awesome game it sounds like, I saw the first half but had to go. Congrats to Ryle they are what we thought they are. Bottom line these are two good football teams.

No need to get snippy. You speculated they had no kicking game. I showed you that they did.

I really don't think SK was going for the win as much as it was the fact that their defense was gassed in the 4th quarter and Marksberry had to make a decision on 4th and goal and it seems like they felt that they had a better chance at winning with their offense making a play rather than their defense making a stop. Good game by Ryle they played really hard in the second half and Elliot finally broke a big play for what looked like about 70 yards running through a handful of arm tackles. Congrat Raiders and keep your heads up Pioneers you guys still have alot left to play for.

Ryle safety Ryan Smith had a huge tackle for a 5-yard loss on SK's first play in OT that really had a huge affect on SK's final series. Congrats to Ryle's kicker Garrett Meade on the winning FG. Not a long kick, but plenty of pressure. Nice snap, nice hold, nice kick. Outstanding running game by Hempel (107 yards) and unbeleiveable 81 yard TD run by Elliott in the 4th to tie the game at 28. Broke 4 or 5 tackles minimum and then just outran everyone.

 

Chad Lawrence is very, very good and fun to watch. #35 WR for SK had some terrific catches.

Nailed a 37 yard FG right before half time. I don't have any doubt that SK could've made the kick as it would've been the same as a PAT just about. I just don't think they trusted that D to stop Ryles running game 3 times from 10 yards out.
