I think as couples get older the percentage that sleep seperately increases greatly. I know I will sleep much better once we get our king bed. I don't want to sleep seperately but man I need my space.

Had one for 15 years brother, king is key!

Always together and I must be touching my wife to go to sleep. It may just having our ankles crossed over each others but I can't sleep without her beside me and being able to touch her.

 

My in-laws have slept apart for several years, one of them watching TV very late probably got it started.

My wife and I had a twin bed when we first married.

 

If I snore she just starts shaking the bed to wake me up. I roll over and it's back to sleep.

 

I can't imagine the Rob/Laura scenario (although the scene where he's practicing putting on his hat when she's pregnant still makes me laugh).

I couldn't imagine sleeping on a bed smaller than a king, I don't know if I could sleep one night in a twin with my wife.

 

I know it's a very odd circumstance if we aren't in the same bed to end the night and when we are seperated it's sort of odd.

Sleep in same bed but my wife will make me face the other way due to my snoring and we have a fan going at all times to drowned me out. She said that her parents now sleep in different rooms due to her Dad's snoring. If I have had a few beers its like a freight train.

Sometimes together, sometimes apart. I work a crazy schedule sometimes at work so not to wake my wife when I get ready to go to work I sleep in another bedroom.

Always together. Can't sleep otherwise.

Between me falling asleep on the couch and going to bed in the middle of the night, my wife getting up with the baby and falling asleep in the rocker, and me sleeping with my daughter after a nightmare, we sleep in the same bed for a couple hours every night.

Size doesn't matter, in this case. We've had double and queen size beds and now that we have a king, I still get the same 6" on the right side of the bed, I've always gotten.

My wife and I will be married forty years this October and other than when I worked the third shift for a couple of years, we have always slept together.

 

Without her sleeping next to me and me touching her, I don't sleep as well.

Together, but I'm always open to reasonable negotiation.

I can never imagine it either.

 

What is the etiquette on making this decision? Say your wife saws some major logs, does the snorer stay in the bed or hit up the guest bed? Thankfully we are both silent sleepers. My wife does grind her teeth and makes a smacking noise all the time which is annoying. Mouth piece has helped out a lot.

 

My husband "saws some major logs". I solved this problem by running a fan. The ones that make lots of noise. Just bought me a extra one in case the old one goes out this winter. Hard to buy fans during the winter, here in KY.
