spindoc
Ran it in high school under Bill Tom Ross, and what many perceive as a run only offense, we had several passes out of the bone. Just wondering who still runs it out there.
oldonetechnique
I don't know of anyone who runs it solely anymore, but there are some that dabble.
94 Camel
My question would be who still runs it and why?
MSU-70
Does Johnson Central still run the bone?
arrjones
Murray High still runs it very successful behind that big O-Line that averages 280Lbs. per linemen.
LUCK
St. Xavier runs it some in goal line situations.
ColonelMike
I've seen several teams run it in certain situations, including Oldham County. But I haven't seen a team in some while that runs it as their base offense...
Watusi
Belfry runs the bone a lot, but most of the time it is another form of the bone, not a true wishbone. They run a lot of double wing, broken bone and flex bone. Typically, they run with one tight and one wide, however sometimes in goal line situations you will see a double tight wishbone formation. bugatti
My question would be who still runs it and why? The answer to why is because it is high school football. People are recently enamored with spreading the field and throwing the ball all around.... often times to the point they are unsuccessful because they do not have the talent to do so. Most traditional wishbone sets are predicated on a physical style of play. I do not care what level of football, especially at the high school level this form of play is very effective and I think ten times more devastating if you can get your team to buy in to it. fastpitchfan
I have seen a few double wing teams out there but not much wishbone outside of short yardage situations. 20 years ago it was prevalent everywhere you looked.
DYLANDOLL
Anderson is a wishbone team.
ColonelMike
Anderson is a wishbone team. Really? A true wishbone? Then they've changed since last year. Peach didn't run a true wishbone last year, but his skill players have dramatically changed this season...
tcjkbt
The wishbone is a very exciting and effective offense, when well executed.
Skins06
I think marion county uses some wishbone formation.
Log Mountain Boy
Bell County has always had it in the arsenal.
