September 23, 201015 yr I can't stand Cincinnati. Especially downtown. I loathe going there. I can't stand it either.....When I go down to the Federal Building to pay our Over the Road Truck Tax, I normally get to experience all walks of life. Parking is horrible as well. No too many places to park a Hummer!!!:madman: I hate it, I hate it, I hate it......Wow, now I feel better!!!:thumb:

September 24, 201015 yr I will say when I travel on business doing seminars, when I am in the southern states, I always say I am from Kentucky. And I always get, "I knew you weren't a Yank." When I travel to the northern states, I say I'm from the Cincinnati area. When I am traveling for vacation, I always say I am from Kentucky. I can't stand to go into Ohio for anything.
September 24, 201015 yr I noticed that the Urban Dictionary entry was entered in by a Lars Whalen... does anyone know who this guy is? There used to be a Fort Thomas school board member named Paul Whalen... wonder if there's any family connection? Yep, know him. Yes he is the son of Paul Whalen. Grew up in the North end of town. He is a senior in college. Last I knew he was attending college in Arizona, I think. Maybe this was his senior thesis.

On the subject of where are you from NKY vs. Kentucky; usually if I just answer Kentucky people always come back with ,"you don't have a Kentucky accent", that is when I answer with Northern Kentucky. Drive an hour south and ya'll get your accent.
September 24, 201015 yr The truth? When people hear you say you're from Kentucky, they make certain assumptions. Maybe we feel like (since we are so closely tied, on a cultural level, to Cincinnati), we want to define ourselves as such. :ohbrother: Hmmmm...you don't seem that much different than the good folks from Louisville, Danville, Bardstown or Bowling Green that I know. :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:
