Fort Thomas Definition per Urban Dictionary

Featured Replies

I noticed that the Urban Dictionary entry was entered in by a Lars Whalen... does anyone know who this guy is? There used to be a Fort Thomas school board member named Paul Whalen... wonder if there's any family connection?

Oh...my...God! If that's the Fort Thomas Ghetto, I'm going to simply die laughing!
Hope your affairs are in order. :p
My guess is that this ghetto is not on the 'North' side of town?
No, the north end is where people who are too good for heaven are sent. Its streets are paved in platinum, they have minks in the trees instead of squirrels, and their water supply is 100% Perrier.

According to this dictionary, the south end (our end), is "notorious" -- not unlilke South Central...or maybe the bad side of Calcutta. And yes, there is a mini-ghetto, although we call it the projects.

So, in this alleged Ft. Thomas "ghetto" you speak of, the folks are driving a Benz or BMW instead of the normal cake-eater choices for transportation such as a Rolls or Maserati?
None of the above. How can they be able to have their Blackberry cell phones with internet to go along with their bling if they're wasting their cash on wheels? Gotta have priorities!

You'd be surprised at the number of students eligible for reduced or free meals in Ft Thomas. I know I was. That was before the economy turned south too.

A overwhelmingly conservative Kentucky city with a population of about 17000 that is three miles south of Cincinnati.About half of the town's population consists of blonde rich mothers who drive SUVS and Range Rovers, yet still complain about gas. The town is almost completely white and crazy pro life republican, though a few minorities and liberals can be spotted on the notorious South Side of Town. The teenagers of the town go to high school at either Highlands or Newport Catholic and for the most part think that they are thugs even though their mothers drive them everywhere. The Cops will pull you over and search you if you go one mile over the speed limit or look like you are from the god forsaken towns of Dayton or Newport. Fort Thomas is safe, but snooty.

Not that it's a shallow, biased, myopic opinion or anything...

Is there anyone in Ft. Thomas that is truly upset with that description? I think not.

Most would be, for one reason or another.

OK, maybe the south siders who don't like the insinuation that perhaps a few liberals live there, but surely not anyone else.

I know Lars persoanlly and this sounds exactly like something that he would write. He lived in Ft. Thomas his whole life and has a great sense of humor, as you can see. Unfortunatly for you BF he is attending the University of Kansas now.

Since I don't see anyone on here upset either I'd say it's about the same result in the city. :thumb:

I'm thinking I've met Lars before. Would he be around 21?
