Most parking in on the street . There is the First Baptist church that I believe some people park in. Also, about a block south of the school is a bank and the city building. I think there was parking behind the city building unless they have changed that.

You got that right! I can't see how anyone can think that this won't be a hard fought tight ballgame. This senior group from both schools have met each other since the freshman teams up through JV and I believe Ryle holds the edge in wins. I realize that has nothing to do with this year's varsity contest but I would certainly think that at the very least Ryle will come in confident they can play with HHS and that means a lot in high school football.

I might be totally wrong but I don't see the Birds being any better than Ryle much less beat them down. In fact if Dale wasn't coaching Highlands I would bet Ryle would win. But Dale is coaching so it should be a great game.

Let's try it a second time. Posters, please try to stay on track and maybe we can keep this thread open until the game.

While Ryle had great success against CovCath running the ball, I predict that Ryle is going to throw the ball a lot more in this game. I also predict those are going to be quick, short passes (ala Trinity). When Ryle attempted to throw deep last year, Highlands had great success getting to Hempel with the stunting D line and blitzing LBers. Hempel has taken a beating from Highlands each time he has played against the Birds. Last thing Warner wants early in the game to occur is Hempel getting smacked around and thinking: "uh oh, here we go again". And with the quickness and speed on Highlands D line and in the LBing corps, if Hempel has to hold the ball long, it will probably happen again.

 

I expect Warner to run a lot of short, ball control passes and along with the run, try to move the ball slowly but surely down the field. If Ryle can score doing so, it also has the additional advantage of keeping the Highlands O off the field.

 

Just an FYI

VOR is on the money. If I were in town, I would love to be at the game. ICN missed this big time!

ICN wouldn't have been allowed in anyway to cover the game live so that is a moot point.

Wow, I'm thinking it may be best for Ryle to not even show up Friday night!!! It doesn't seem as though they have a chance!!! Towels can throw for 300 yards and 3 TD's every Friday or could just throw 5 passes against Ryle and still win.... That's pretty impressive!!!!

 

I don't know a lot about Highlands this year, however, I can't believe they are better than last years team, but, perhaps they are!!!

 

I guess Ryle should just be hoping not to get embarrassed this weekend in Ft. Thomas since it seems they have no chance!

 

Anyway, what is the ticket situation for Friday? Can you get presale tickets at Highlands? Ryle? Are they cheaper than purchasing at the gate? Any chance of a sellout? Any good tailgating places that would welcome some Ryle fans? At the end of the day, it's a high school football game...

 

My post has very little to do with Ryle. I am not taking a shot at Ryle. From a skill set, yes, Towels could throw for 300/3TD each friday. His line gives him plenty of time, he has a huge arm, he makes good decisions and he has nice WR's.

 

As to why they could throw 5 passes is because of the Highlands defense and running game, they could control the clock in my opinion if they wanted too. Their defense is very fast (what's new?) and they have a deep backfield. With their RB talent and their line they're getting 4-5 yards per carry most of the time, they don't need to pass but of course they will. It is no disrespect to Ryle, I just feel Highlands has the team to do this. Heck I have been saying for a while on here Ryle is on the rise.
