Lost a brother, so every time I hear the song "Talk" by Coldplay, it rips me. Chilling. Weird part...............I hear it at the weirdest times. Sign?? Maybe. Great tune.

Anyone with a daughter about to marry might have trouble making it through, "To A Sleeping Beauty" by Jimmy Dean

For me, "Tears In Heaven"- Eric Clapton. This song came on the radio just minutes after my Grandmother passed away.

"Amazing Grace" on bagpipes. If anyone has ever been to either a miliatary or firefighter funeral, and didn't cry at this, they are really cold hearted.

I absolutely agree with this. It gives me instant cold chills everytime.

After the tragic school shooting at Virginia Tech, we had a candle light virgil at NKU around the lake. Someone was in the middle of praying on the microphone and on the hill behind us a giant of a man appeared with light behind him, so you could only see his silloutte. He started playing Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. It was absolutely beautiful. I will never forget that night.

Have to give agreement to those who said "Tears In Heaven" by Clapton & Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. Two tear-jerkers for sure.

But having said that, there's not a recorded song on the planet as sad as this one...

Winner.

This may sound a bit macabre. Having already lived 2/3 of my life, I sometimes wonder what songs to choose for my funeral. Those are the ONLY ones that "bring a tear to my eye"; and sometimes they don't do that. They are:

Time to Say Goodbye, Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. Maybe my favorite song of all time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbN0g8-zbdY The whole video is spectacular, especially from 3:10

Wild Mountain Thyme, Tannahill Weavers

Dante's Prayer, Loreena McKennitt

Into the West, Annie Lennox

Amazing Grace, Judy Collins

There is something about that name..Jesus

It is well with my Soul

Cats and the Cradle

If

Rocky Top
