May 27, 201016 yr Actually it's the Drew Stubbs that's hitting .213 with 5 HR, 21 RBI and 48 SOs in 42 games this year. He's a huge liability at the plate. He isn't ready for major league pitching. You know very little about baseball if you think Drew Stubbs is a waste of a roster spot. You called him and he showed!!

They need to make the most out of the situation that they are in with St. Louis playing a pretty hot San Diego team. Especially need to jump all over this pirates pitcher tonight. He's got a terrible win/loss record and an ERA over 8.
May 27, 201016 yr Stubbs is at .253 this month and hes looking better and better at the plate in the lower part of the order. You could do a lot worse than what hes bring to the table now.

That trip was a disaster and ruined any chance the Reds had of making the post season. It's ironic, because it appears the Reds should be right near the top for a while. They have a 12 game west coast trip in August that could be the make/break point of the season. Obviously a lot of baseball to be played, but been a while since any Reds fan could look to the future and not be talking about the off season.

The west coast trips are always a killer it seems, and it will be especially tough this year with the Padres, Giants, Dodgers and Rockies all having pretty good teams. . The Reds also haven't played the Phillies yet, so there are a lot of tough oppponents and games ahead. If the Reds can stay healthy though, I like their chances of staying in it all year long.
