I agree, the Reds play a close game almost every night. When they do score runs the bull pen always seem to make it close. Games like this you need to give Coco a break. How do you know if the Rook or Fisher can do the job if you have no confidence in them. Massett's problem is that his confidence is blown which I don't understand because he had about ten good outings in a row and now back to being terrible. Can't throw strikes.

So the complaint is that Coco shouldn't have been used after getting the job done because it wasn't going to be a save in the books? Really? Following this team now is more mind numbing than when they stink and the concerns are legit. Good lord...

He was already warmed up before Heisey hit the HR. He might as well come in now. No point in getting someone else up who might end up in trouble and then CoCo needs to warm back up or can't come in the game? No way just bring him in and get it over with.

It will be interesting to see who gets called up to pitch Friday.

I love when the Reds win!!! I don't care how just as long as they do. I am really itching for the Reds to make a playoff push this year and make a big trade!

Actually it's the Drew Stubbs that's hitting .213 with 5 HR, 21 RBI and 48 SOs in 42 games this year. He's a huge liability at the plate. He isn't ready for major league pitching.

No I wouldn't. I don't think protecting a 4 run lead with only 3 outs to get is a tough situation. I really have no problem with Dusty bringing Cordero into the game last night with a 4 run lead. I know he was already up. I was just wondering why. Sort of like when I wonder why my wife orders chicken when we go to a steakhouse. I have no problem with her ordering, just wonder why she does.

The Reds will start right-hander Sam LeCure on Friday against the Houston Astros.

“He’s pitched well and deserves an opportunity,” Walt Jocketty said.

LeCure, 26, will be making his big league debut. He is 5-2 with a 2.55 ERA for Louisville. He pitched a one-hit shutout his last time out.

LeCure was a fourth-round draft pick in 2005.

LeCure was chosen over left-handers Matt Maloney and Travis Wood. Both have also been pitching well, but a right-hander matches up better with Houston.
