Ok, I have not been watching these events much, but what am I missing here? He was not charged with a crime, so what is Goodell getting at in his quote below? What has been proven?

A person could go to the bars every single weekend, find the drunkest, easiest target girl, and take her home everytime, and he legally is doing nothing wrong. Is it morally wrong? Most definitely, but they don't make you register as a sex-offender for having no morals or probably in his case, no standards.

 

Agreed! Plus, when you are famous and or have money, people will target you, as they are hoping for a settlement. Heck, some may even do it just because they don't like the team you're on.

I agree on one hand. On the other hand, Big Ben is paid to not just play quarterback, but he is also paid to be the face of the franchise and one of the main features of the NFL. You can refute that if you want, but it is the truth. When he acts as he did and gets with a girl in the bathroom, he is bringing the Steelers and NFL in there with him. The higher you rise, the further you fall. As to the punishment, I think it is too severe.

As a father of 2 sons, I hope you have raised your daughter to be a bit more in control. Drunk beyond recollection at 20 ain't exactly morally upright either, considering she consented to engage in sexually explicit conversation with the morally defunct QB all night, as she bar hopped following the Roethlisberger trail. Not condoning what he did at all, but she has to have a bit of blame in the grand scheme of things to some degree as well. I'm sure that my opinion on this will be popular.:sssh:

I also doubt he'll be traded. And if he is, Steelers will finish below .500 on the schedule, and a glaring 100% on the morality scale.

I heard Terry Bradshaw on the radio FOXSPORTS and he really bashed Ben, and I found out later ther rarely speak to each other because Terry has been hard on Ben in the past.

What's up with the suspensions that have a potential to be shortened? If you are going to suspend someone, make it a set amount of time, none of this time off for good behavior stuff.

I am hit or miss on Jason Whitlock, but he has some excellent points about Ben being an idiot over this one BUT also on the media taking the word of some drunken soriority girls and printing it as if it were the Gospel caught on HD video.

No I don't overreact. This is twice this has happened in less than a year. One time might be a mistake, or someone looking to get rich off of Ben. But twice, no. Ben has a problem. To take a 20 year old girl and get her stone drunk and take advantage of her. Yes they guy needs to be a registered sex offender. Just my one opinion.
