April 22, 201016 yr No I don't overreact. This is twice this has happened in less than a year. One time might be a mistake, or someone looking to get rich off of Ben. But twice, no. Ben has a problem. To take a 20 year old girl and get her stone drunk and take advantage of her. Yes they guy needs to be a registered sex offender. Just my one opinion. Not defending Big Ben here. Maybe I have missed something, and it has been reported that he did know. However I have a hard time believing that he knew she was only 20.
April 22, 201016 yr I have both a daughter and a son. I would be livid if something like this happened to my daughter, and she hadn't done anything to provoke it. On the otherhand, if she were undearge, wearing the name tag that this girl was, and was going from bar to bar and continuing contact with a guy who was treating her like that, I'd have to tell her honestly that she really has to take some blame in what happened. I know that no means no, but when alcohol is involved provocative behavior is sure to get misconstrued. If my son had ever done anything like Ben did, including the crude talk and behavior before the "ultimate" incident, I kick his butt. However, I also would be livid if I found out that a girl deliberately kept following him from bar to bar and pretty much insisting on continuing the "relationship", and he wound up being the only "bad guy" in the scenario. Again, I know that "no means no". But I firmly believe that girls often put themselves, and the guys, in situations that neither should ever be in. And there'd be no reason to say "no" if she'd have shown some good sense and stayed away from a drunk, crude, egotistical lout in the first place. What he did wasn't in any way commendable. But, as a female, I'm not going to assume that the girl is blameless. It sounds like she had ample opportunity to avoid this situation.

I'll be at a Little League game during the first several rounds, can't wait to get home to see what happened. That is one long little league game. :lol: It's only the first round tonight. April 23, 201016 yr You have to be convicted of a sex related crime to be a registered sex offender. Ben was not even charged. Don't get me wrong, I am appalled by his actions and support the commissioners actions. I think the suspension should send a strong message to he and the rest of the NFL players. DON"T TAKE THIS AS DEFENDING HIS ACTIONS, ... but I also think that the media taking the stories of drunken college girls as the gospel as to what happened, ... and a girl to drunk to apparently even remember what happened, makes a really, really bad situation look even worse. I do agree that Ben has a problem. He is acting like a 20 year old college boy and he is supposed to be a professional football player and a full grown man. He is 28. It is way past time for him to grow up and act like a man. I am fully aware that you have to be convicted before you have to register. My point was, simply from the actions of that night, who Ben is, and what he is suppose to represent, he failed miserably. I do hope that he get's the Commissioner's message in the suspension, and can turn his life around and keep his career moving in the right direction.

He needs to go I love the steelers and to me they are one of the classiest teams as far as ownership and discipline but this will tarnish the Rooney name.
