NKY Freshman Football

It is mind boggling to me how the administration allows the parents to sabotage their sports programs at Campbell Co. They always have a lot of talent and do nothing with it. I know the team from Ft.Thomas would love to have a few of the kids from the Red Devils..:D

I really do not think you can blame the parents on this one. Maybe a couple but I do not think they had much leverage on the non hiring of Kenny Morgan.

You think wrong. They had everything to do with him not being hired. Numerous parents complained to Central Office after news broke he would be the frosh coach.

Zach Harris' brother Jarod started at QB for one of the title teams t NCC a few years back. Zach was in the parochial system but went to CCMS during this past year. I spoke with him recently and he has not made up his mind (or at least his parents hadn't).

I would say with the announcement of the new head coach at NCC this kid is headed to the hill. JMO. 20n10

I think Highlands is doing just fine with their own kids from the Fort Thomas Jr. Football league.:thumb:

Believe what you want to believe but who told me what happened would be the person who knows exactly what is going. Parents might have complained but the decision had already been made.

Then what reason would they have to not hire a guy who is one of the better coaches in the NKY area? And was wanting to do it and has experince with those kids.

Did it have anything to do with practice times? I do not know anyone involved with this but that is one thing that keeps a lot of volunteers and youth coaches from coaching at school.

No.

All I can say it had nothing to do with the parents. The decision had already been made, Kenny Morgan would not be the freshman coach before the parents started to call.

The tell you sources they made a big mistake.

Why would the parents be that adament about a guy who is a good coach not being hired? I mean, if you are a coach and you have kids playing for this guy I can see why you might have respect for him and think he deserves the job but obviously there is something wrong here for parents to be this outspoken.

Campbell County Youth Football League vs. Red Devils this is the answer IMO. Which I really do not understand. If he is going to be able to make the program better then why not let him coach. There is a ton of selfishness IMO at Campbell County, people are out for #1.

If you were refering to Ken Morgan. The answer would be NO. He owns his own business and can set whatever schedule he wants to work.

I do not know the timelime of events. I do know that he was on the phone getting a frosh staff in place. This tells me that he was already asked to be the coach.

Don't know anything about Ken Morgan, other than he is a CCRD Juniors coach and if you need a phone go see him. Does coaching fifth and sixth graders equate to a good freshman coach. I don't know. Campbell County has at least three former CCRD coaches on their varsity staff. What has that brought to the table as for wins and loses, or any type of post season play. Maybe everything, maybe nothing, maybe they just have a lack of talent. I see good players go to other schools and excel, out at the County they just seem to fade into the obiss as a team. Not taking anything away from the players, there are some really great players out there. The problem has to lie somewhere and someone needs to be held responsible. So does adding another CCRD coach to the staff at Campbell County help the program, or does the CCRD style not translate to success at the high school and varsity level. Do you need something more to take them to the next level? Or does the problem lie somewhere else? Once again I don't know.

The husband of the principal at Campbell County use to be the head football coach there. I believe the principal has the final say in the hiring process, not he AD. I don't care who coaches or who doesn't. I would just like to see the Camels make it out of Northern Ky. once in awhile and get a little tradition started. Winning shuts a lot of noisy traps. Go Camels
