The E-town parents probably enjoyed the heck out of it, but if one of the key players would have gotten injured during this game...they would have been calling for his head...

I really hope that is not true. If I was one, I honestly do not know what I would have done,but I would not have been one bit happy. And if my daughter had made any of the comments that the girls made in the article, she would not have been happy either!

Are there any E-Town posters on here or are they all lieing low ?

I attended a middle school game a couple of years ago and the final score was 45 or 50 to zero. Not one parent in the gym enjoyed the game. It was very uncomfortable to say the least (and my daughter was on the winning team).

I hope the E-town parents felt the same way.

Shameless and no paper article necessary....I don't even want to hear from the coaching staff, makes girls high school basketball look terrible!!!!

Classy move by Etown.

This is a joke. Why beat a team this bad?????????????????

I sent mine to the Supt. on the first day the thread was posted. I still haven't received a return reply, then again I guess with the number of E-mail he received he either doesn't care or have the time. My guess if he is like the Basketball Coach, he could care less.

BTW did anyone else see Richard Skinner article in the NKy.com today about the game? Click here to read it.

What is the point of beating a team by this much? What does it prove? There is no reason for this at all!

I have watched a game that was getting "out of control" and the ref took it into his own hands, quietly warned the coach and when he kept going, started T-ing him up. That got his attention real quick and a standing O from the crowd.

Not ethical of the ref, but I would have still loved it. :thumb:

After my e-mails to the ADMIN / AD / CAOCH my final thought on this is....(pardon the PUN)... "E-TOWN" ends up with "Mudd" on their face and it will be a while before it is washed off! I pray that I am there when a team washes it off! :banana::jump::banana:

I think this points out a bigger problem. There are quite a few games that could end up being this type of score every year. Why are these teams playing? I understand district seeding but why cant a team like ft. knox forfeit their seed? This is a wasted night for both teams, whether the coach of the dominant team takes it easy or not. The kids get nothing either way. There has to be a better way to do this..

So the starters played 70% of the total available minutes. Does that make the coach only a 70% nimbrod.

Nice one! :lol::lol::lol:

There are no excuses for this type of point margin. None. Just shameful, I coach and would never ever ever consider this type of victory an admirable victory. I think we all know of teams that we could pound into the ground but you do not get better by doing that. Find things to work on with your team that do not involve running the floor. Just a shame.

You still get a good gate and since all athletic departments programs (at least in Kenton County Schools) are self - funded it is a good night. No matter who plays who the gate is generally good. :popcorn:
