January 20, 201016 yr Its a great show and the old man is funny when he rips on Chumlee. He told Chumlee to go to his house and get something and it was 20 min away and it took him 4 hrs. Chumlee just sat down at the old man's house and made himself somthing to eat. Hilarious. My son DVR's them all the time and we watch em along with Operation Repo. I used to love Operation Repo until I learned it was fake.
January 20, 201016 yr I liked the show at first, but the more I see the way Rick rips people off and then laughs about it, the less I want to watch. He always gives them the excuse that it would take him a ridiculous amount of money to fix their item, or that nobody would ever come in asking for one of those. The old man is just a crotchety old pain.

The old man is just a crotchety old pain. Its the free market in action. :lol: I don't see them ripping people off at all. The seller wants a quick buck, or they could fix it and sell it themselves. The pawn shop lays out the investment, gives the seller the quick buck and most importantly, assumes all the risk. I like the show, and I really like Rick. I don't find him arrogant, but I do think he is incredibly knowledgeable about a very very wide array of things. He know his business very well.
