January 26, 201016 yr I guess some of you all believe wrestling is real too? lol. People on the show have to be interesting, or they won't be on, and the show will die. Yes, Pez dispensers has a big following, I have known that for a while as it was on some TV show a while ago. Plus Corey even said he knew there is a big following of them online, I am sure they know what stuff people collect and which ones have big following. The most expensive one? It was on action on EBay and sold for over $32,000. Lets say you had a baseball card or vinyl record collection, and you wanted to get rid of some doubles you had, and the total worth of those is about $2,500, and someone offered you only $1,000? Would you sell? Or wait a bit and slowly get rid of them and make much closer to the 2 and a half grand? I also wouldn't take them to a pawn shop to sell. If you have some type of collectable then take them to a trade show or sell them online. The pawn shop has to make money and they like to make lots of it. They are never going to give you close to what something is worth. Who goes to a pawn shop looking for collectable pez?

With 1,100 hits, it shows there is indeed an active "pez community." My guess is the rest of the "pez community" probably has gotten tired of the guy who we saw on the show and now nobody will buy his stuff anymore because he's a jerk.
January 26, 201016 yr Two entertaining episodes last night (Pezzed Off and Shocking Chum). Then watched American Pickers.
January 26, 201016 yr Anyone see the episode when Chumlee tried to make wine? Yes. Didn't The Old Man say the wine was not so bad?
February 9, 201016 yr Has anyone in the NKY seen the blue Honda Element with vanity plate "Pez Head"? They must live out here in Burlington, I see them almost every morning.

February 9, 201016 yr Last nights episodes were good. I don't think theres too many Pawn Shops out there who purchase helicopters, hot air balloons, and semi-trucks, so thats what makes this show so good.

Especially when they go to an old farm and talk to the older people who obviously do not have a clue what is going on.

Especially when they go to an old farm and talk to the older people who obviously do not have a clue what is going on. A. I don't think you're giving those people enough credit. They know more about the stuff than you want to believe. B. It's just junk laying around. Better to get something from it than it sit there and rust, since it sure doesn't look like the sellers are making much of an effort to get their products to market. It's not like those guys don't have any overhead, either. There's a lot of legwork and research (and sometimes repairs) involved to get the items to the people who would buy them.

Thanks for the business lesson..........j/k. None of this changes my opinion of them.
February 19, 201016 yr Great show. I am thinking about stopping by there when I am in Vegas next month so I can haggle with Rick. While driving around in Vegas, I unintentionally drove by the store. Being the prototypical tourist, the wife and I pulled over and went in. You had to wait in line to get in the store! It was like going in to a night club, only it was a pawn shop and it was 1:30 on a Monday afternoon  Let me say this, the show does not do it any justice as to how small that store really is. When you see a zoomed out view of the store, that is literally the entire store. When they are filming, they must kick out everyone or at least shove them to one side of the store. The Old Man was in there and he actually negotiated to purchase some document from the 1800s for $325. Big Hoss came out later on and signed some autographs. Rick was not in attendance. I was in line to buy a signed magnet from Chumlee but got tired of waiting in line. Some cool stuff inside. Across the street about 1000 ft. up the ways is a good Mexican restaurant. Best tamales I have ever had. It was their specialty.
