Wall is a great player. But those statistics do not measure one thing: clutch. Wall has been clutch all season long. When we've needed him to take a game over, he has done so every time: * Game-winner vs. Miami OH in his first collegiate game * Twice ties the game vs. Stanford in the final seconds * Almost single-handedly sparks a 28-2 run vs. UNC when we found ourselves down 9-2 early. * Absolutely dominated the 2nd half vs. UCONN, including the game-winning 3-point play * Scored 6 straight points vs. UL after the Cards had taken their first lead with about 8:00 to play in the game. I'm not knocking Scheyer, because he's the real deal. But if you give any coach in America the choice between Wall & Scheyer, at least 90% of them would choose to have Wall.

January 13, 201016 yr Its a good point to be made but Wall has a closer mentality that others don't have. There is another stat...17-0.......13-2
January 13, 201016 yr When GT and Schue are on the side of the UK fans... anyone on the other side is off the reservation.:laugh:
January 13, 201016 yr Higher than 90% I know. It was a conservative estimate. :thumb: I would say 99.9 percent, and that's even if they already had a pair of All-American PGs and a doughnut hole down low.
January 13, 201016 yr Wall? Scares the hell out of me if I'm an opposing coach. Scheyer? Not so much ... Is the devil ice skating right now? Are you agreeing with most of the UK fans? THE END IS NEAR!!! :scared:
January 13, 201016 yr Ervin Stepp averaged over 50 points a game in high school in one season and averaged over 40 points a game for his career.
January 13, 201016 yr Ervin Stepp averaged over 50 points a game in high school in one season and averaged over 40 points a game for his career. And averaged nearly that many in pickup games at Begley during his time at EKU.
January 14, 201016 yr Author Do you really feel people will remember Scheyer over Wall long term because your guy wasn't ever good enough to leave early? Really? Come on RP... Who said that?
January 14, 201016 yr Author Wall doesnt need to have those stats. He is a point guard. He does what he has to do for his team to win. He is also a game changer. When your done 6 with 3 min to play who do you want on our team? John Wall! Is Jon Scheyer not a PG?
January 14, 201016 yr Who said that? You didn't say it directly, but the premise of the thread and your replies implies the hell out of it...
January 14, 201016 yr Author When GT and Schue are on the side of the UK fans... anyone on the other side is off the reservation. Are there sides here? What is the argument about....do you even know? Should there even be one?
January 14, 201016 yr Author ^ This thread is fun. RP you are the only person in the Country other than Scheyer's parents who would even consider him over Wall. Who said such a thing...
