January 6, 201016 yr Sanders is already the offensive coordinator. They (Brooks and Barnhart) did that last year when they made a new coaching position up "Head Coach" of the offense. He was in name but Coach Phillips called plays. I guess Coach Sanders will call plays this year.
January 6, 201016 yr The play calling got conservative first with Hartline as a first year starter and then with first year starter Newton after Hartline was injured. Look for a more balanced offense no matter who starts at QB next year. I agree. With a talented and experience group Jokers offenses were very good IMO. Sanders will do a good job IMO if he is the choice as OC.
January 6, 201016 yr On a very positive note, UK has had a rookie starting quarterback for two consecutive seasons now. The improved play of that position which now has two quarterbacks with starting experience is the huge key to Kentucky's success.

This should really force all 3 to step their game up, which is a great thing for the Cats.

I know what is being put out by the UK coaching staff about Ryan Mossakowski and the quarterback competition this spring, but does anyone really think the quarterback next season is going to be anyone besides Morgan Newton? I don't.
January 6, 201016 yr To the credit of the news reports I saw, not one single report mentioned the fact that he (or the other coaches) are African Americans. I think it does speak well of the state and the fans of all the schools that we have made strides, much more so than many of the other SEC schools. I don't really care if the coach is purple, green, or chartruise, as long as they Win...GO CATS :thumb: Just win! and we will all be happy.
January 6, 201016 yr I just dont understand the fear that some have that they will get worse under Joker. What did Brooks do that Joker cant or wont do? Honestly I think it will be a lot of the same with a fair chance that they get even better under Joker.

I don't. I think the coaching staff will really be looking as to who can throw the ball down the field. If Moss doesn't impress I can't see him staying at UK for his career as a backup. With that being said Newton needs to bring it in the spring and show that he can throw accurately down the field as well. With Lock and Cobb still capable of running the ball. We will have plenty of opportunities down the field next year.
January 6, 201016 yr Great job in the presser by Joker. I could hear more if Dave Baker would shut up.

I don't. I think it will be Hartline, accuracy and experience wins out over arm strength and potential.
January 7, 201016 yr The fact that Mike Hartline did not even play one play in the Music City Bowl as Morgan Newton totally struggles, tells me he is not in the plans to be a starter in his last season.
