December 14, 200916 yr I think Trent will remain the nickel back, Nelson to get the start. It's tough recovering from the loss of your two starting day safties and your two best d lineman. I'm just hoping Crocker and Peko bring it back. Fanene was gimpin around yesterday also.
December 14, 200916 yr It'll be interesting to see how the Bengals approach the end of the season. If they win in SD, they have the inside track towards the 1st round bye, and would definitely be playing to win the final 2. If they lose, coupled with a Baltimore loss, I'd imagine Palmer, Chad, Benson, and especially most of the D would be rested against KC and NYJ to make sure they are as healthy as can be for the playoffs. If they lose and Baltimore wins, I imagine they play everyone against KC, and rest them week 17 in NYJ, but ya never know.
December 14, 200916 yr Just heard an interesting stat on ESPN. Rivers is 16-0 in December as the Chargers starter...
December 14, 200916 yr Just heard an interesting stat on ESPN. Rivers is 16-0 in December as the Chargers starter... Very impressive. That just means he is due to lose a game eventually in December, here is hoping its this week.
December 14, 200916 yr The Bengals have chance but they cant get whipped physically up front like I thought they did against Minnesota. I feel like they got pushed around a little yesterday especially the O line.

I'd say Mr. Johnson is chomping at the bit for that game.
December 14, 200916 yr If the playoffs started tomorrow, I would pick SanDiego to represent the AFC. If the Bengals could rebound quickly from last week, I would be very impressed.
December 15, 200916 yr Just heard an interesting stat on ESPN. Rivers is 16-0 in December as the Chargers starter... Unreal, they haven't loss a December game since 2006. Hey, that just means they're due doesn't it.

December 15, 200916 yr Crocker is out for a few weeks. Hopefully they get back before the end of the year.
December 15, 200916 yr Hopefully they get back before the end of the year. Jets week or first playoff game is my guess.
December 15, 200916 yr TE's seem to give the Bengals fits and you can bet that Gates will be a major factor. Hall and Joseph are two of the best at CB but they will be challenged by those tall Wrs from SD. I'm guessing the line will be 8 or greater, Cincy will have to play a complete game to win and I'm not sure if their passing game can grade an "A".
December 15, 200916 yr I think the Bengals win this one 17-13. The only thing they are good at is running the ball and with the Chargers D-line being as banged up as it is I think they will be able to control the clock. That along with a good defense makes for a low scoring game which the Bengals dominate TOP and steal one on the road.
