December 14, 200916 yr Bengals have not scored a TD in the second half the last six games, can't throw down the field more than 10 yards, playing on the west coast, Chargers have won eight straight and like 16 in December. Looks like a another 30 to 10 beatdown.:cry::cry:

December 14, 200916 yr Two weeks in a row where the Bengals are on the road, facing a premier team. I just don't think they can pull it off. SD has a ton of weapons on O. I think the Bengals can keep the WRs and LT in check. However I think they struggle containing Gates, and Sproles out of the back field. Also if the Bengals have 10 or more penalties in this game, look for them to be blown out. The way the Bengals can pull it out will be by controlling the clock, which the can, create TOs which they can, and win the ST game, which is improbable. December 14, 200916 yr All signs point to SD, Bengals must control line of scrimmage to have a chance. I will pick SD by 10.
December 14, 200916 yr I'm not worried about SD's wideouts, but I think Gates will give us problems. I'll have to give it a few more days before I can make a prediction. Let's see if Peko / Crocker will be playing, and who is (or isn't) out for SD. I will take my chances all day with our DBs and their WRs. SD run game hasn't been very good at all either. Gates like you said is my main concern. I think our D will keep them to 20 or less. It really all depends on the O that should be able to score on SD's D IMO. If they can't then I am going to be one nervous Bengals fan heading into these last few games.

Actually yesterday's win over the Cowboys marked their season low of 20.
December 14, 200916 yr Is there anyone on here who attended the 1982 AFC championship game where the Cincinatti folks opened the gates to the river and froze the Chargers out of Riverfront? One of the darker days of my childhood. I was there!
December 14, 200916 yr I don't know why, but I feel better about this one than I did the Minnesota game. SD's defense will look like a high school defense after playing against Minnesota's. We should be able to score more points against SD. If they can eliminate the costly penalties, I look for the Bengals to win in a close one.
December 14, 200916 yr Crocker has already been ruled out for Cincy. Not good news at all. The team is no without 4 starters. Good thing Zimmer had developed some depth. I think Crocker has been a big key to the Bengal defensive turnaround. They've been solid since he stepped into the starting lineup last year.

December 14, 200916 yr Is Morgan Trent next on the depth chart? I think Trent will remain the nickel back, Nelson to get the start. It's tough recovering from the loss of your two starting day safties and your two best d lineman. I'm just hoping Crocker and Peko bring it back.
