My guess is you are not and my guess is also that the St X program would not appreciate the Highlands bashing from such a person with so much passion for the program. And this is exactly what Cincy St X was thinking as well....And at the end of the day my friend, you can only put 11 guys on the field at one time....But you knew that right!!!!! I think I am going to award St X the king of the Bluegrass in 2009. How could they not be.....How can a little ole 3A size team like Highlands be in the same conversation with St X....:laugh: You win!!!!!

In terms of depth, I congratulate your small squad on not having to play anyone both ways. But Highlands starts getting in trouble much quicker than us when people get hurt. We can go four deep at some spots with no noticeable difference, which is astronomically better than the Birds...This is proven depth.

I like the comments from the Cincinnati St X coach that gave the nod to Highlands in quickness on both sides of the ball. He would know.

 

Comparing just the Cincy St X game is a little myopic IMVHO. X and Highlands had 5 common opponents. Boone County, Manual, Ryle, Cincy St X and Cov Catholic. Lou St X had a lot of success against the NKY teams but struggled against Cincy St x and Manual.

 

Beating Cincy St X in a schedule of St Ig, St Eds, Moeller, Elder, Colerain, etc. From the Cincy St X point of view, could the one game in KY not at a college field, that you've had a great amount of success against, could the Highlands game or maybe Lasalle be the one game you overlook the opponent? Take a look at not only who Cincy St X plays but where they play. Highlands has a nice field but is it as good as Nippert?

 

Overall, my heart agrees with the highschool sports 28-27 score. But Highlands went 2-0 against out of state and Lou St X went 0-1, Trinity went 0-3, Boone County went 0-1, Manual went 0-1, Cov Catholic went 0-1, Simon Kenton, Ryle, etc didn't play anyone out of state so on the basis of advancing KY high school football the most, my head votes for Highlands. But if HIghlands wants to maybe settle this in years to come on the field....Alan Donhoff's number is in the book.

What part of getting killed by Cincy St. X don't you remember? The little Birdies from Ft. If memory serves me correct it was like 50-0....

But you didn't, and if the game had occurred, you couldn't beat Louisville St. X....the transitive property will not work for you in prognosticating the outcome of a football game. I'm not even sure that Highlands could stay close. The outcome would most likely resemble the 2005 X/Highlands game....TIGERS WIN BIG!!

Once again the Birds are talking a big line because they know that they fortunately did not have to face the Tigers this season on the football field. Based on past performance, I think you would have been out on three called fastball strikes (thrown by players named Neal, McMurray, and Hayden) without even swinging the bat. You can't hit what you can't see! :lol:

This year wasn't any of the past years. Live in the past, if you must, but this year the Birds would have done to the Tigers what the Tigers couldn't do to the Bombers.
