Did they ever give out the attendance from yesterday's games? It was packed for the 4A game.

 

6,837 was the attendance for the 4A game. I thought it held 23,000?

Parking and taffic won't be near the issue for the 3 Saturday games as it was on Friday. Overall, an outstanding first day for the finals in terms of facilities, atmosphere, and attendance.

A great majority of the WKU students that live on campus and all the commuter students will not be around on Saturday. That free's up a ton of parking. When the 4A game was getting out and the 2A folks were coming in, a lot of WKU and an elementary school near WKU were all coming and going at the same time. Won't have to deal with any of that on Saturday.

I think they treated it like a UL football game, students had to be out of the lot by a certain time. I could be wrong though.

Why didn't the city of Bowling Green have some one directing traffic? What a mess and If you are attending the big game tonight better plan some extra time to get parked.

 

It took for ever to get from the stadium back to the interstate. Very nice facility.:thumb:

My only complaint was that they ACTUALLY tried to reserve the chairback seats on the home side which run from the 20 to the 20 for people who paid a higher ticket price. If this had been honored by the fans (it wasn't:D) you would have had a situation where the home crowd would have to go over to the visitor side to make room for all the fans. I can't belive they even attempted this. I noticed that they quit announcing about the reserve seats in later games.

 

Otherwise, it is a topnotch facility which deserves more state games. Even though it's is further to drive to BG than to PJ, I wouldn't mind if it stayed in BG especially if it irritated certain fans who still find it hard to believe they'll have to leave town to see a state game.:cry::cry:

The only complaint... the 5A game was delayed due to the double overtime game earlier in the day. That pushed back the 5A game. They would not allow us to enter the facility until it was cleared by the prior game FC and DeSales. AS a result long lines developed around the stadium.

 

Due to the cold, etc. - I think they should have allowed the HHS and JHHS fans in to the stadium... they would have had a lot of concession purchase as we waited for the game to end.

That's not an issue for KHSAA though. The 2A game was delayed as well.....but it was no fault of anyone elses.

They closed the parking lot.

I liked the driving distance and inside atmosphere at WKU better than PJS, but not the outside parking situation.
