While I would love to see that...I don't think either team wins by 3 TD's...this will come down to a 7-10 point ballgame either way

It's possible it could be live on the internet, audio and video, at wpsdlocal6.com. That's the online site of the Paducah TV station. You have to go under the tab for SPORTS and then the GRIDIRON GLORY tab, but, it will only come on right at gametime. The reason I say possible is because they could very well opt to show the Lone Oak/Marion Co game or the Central/Tilghman game instead, but, it would be worth checking into.

How many Bluegrassprepsters are going to make the trip to Mayfield? How bout a show of hands. Voice will be there, how bout his majesty Mr Guru and Mr. Bucklen and you other diehards. We could have a meet and greet if some of you want to.

Mayfield will need to play better than they did friday night against Crittenden. They could very easily be watching this one from the sidelines. At the same time, I was impressed with how they kept there composure after a couple of fumbles and big plays by CC. They just kept playing hard and finally got things going in the 4th qtr. To me, this is one thing that makes this Mayfield team special. They played a little too conservative, imo, when they were having success through the air. Hopefully, they won't have to play catchup fri night, but, if they do, I will have confidence that they'll be able to come back and pull it out. I think this could be a high scoring affair and I think Mayfield will impose there will in the late stages and pull it out.. Mayfield 38 Beechwood 28...

 

I agree, it is tough to rattle this Mayfield team: Down 3 TD's to the number 1 team in Tennessee 2A and storming back, down to their crosstown rival Graves Co. at halftime, down to Caldwell but in position to win at the end of the game, down to the Rockets last week and scoring twice in the 4th quarter. They've showed plenty of poise in tough situations this year. In years past, a late game drive would consist of a bunch of draw plays and a few short passes, not enough to get it done. Not ready to give a score yet, but I would imagine that this will be anyone's game going to the 4th quarter. I just can't see Mayfield committing 8 precedure penalties this week, dropping handoffs, and not holding on to passes with nothing but green grass in front of you.

Right now, looks like I'll be cheering on my Tigers from here in the Fort. I think home field advantage is huge this week, simply for the distance and that most fans can't make the trip. Yes, I can drive there, but I don't have the funds to spend the night, and it's a long drive back late at night. Seems a shame that a neutral field equi-distant couldn't be arranged. I also feel that this IS the State Game, since we've met Mayfield there in the past.

I don't think playing the finals in Bowling Green is convenient to most of the state, either. Ok. I feel better now, and I'll quietly step down off the soapbox.

After playing soccer since age six (outstanding Keeper) and football since 8th grade he was a little burned out and wanted to take time off to concentrate on school. He is currently at U of L. Funny thing, he pulled the growth plates apart in both hips his Jr. year but didn't break any bones until playing flag football in college (broken wrist).
