November 2, 200916 yr Florida has had a lot of arrests and now this. Not a lot of punishment has been handed down by Urban or the league. But if you complain about the refs when they make terrible calls in UF's favor then you get in big trouble.
November 2, 200916 yr A whole half?!? A whole one right? If the SEC had any guts instead of worrying about what coaches said about their terrible officials, they would have stepped in. Of course, losing Spikes for a game or two means taking another hit in the BCS rankings following Bama dropping a spot. So I guess I can see why they remained silent. The league is probably working up suspension papers on Mark Richt for complaining about there being a no call on the eye gouge.

CLEARLY this one stupid act unraveled the conspiracy between the University and the NCAA to win them a second title because they love Tim Tebow so much. You have to hand it to them though, they were so slick the told OTHER SEC referees to make questionable calls in other games to throw the Florida Conspiracy Theorists off their scent. I don't care if it's a big time rivalry, one that has had its share of embarrassments for both teams-especially in the last three years-and even if Spikes was provoked he should be punished ten fold for what he did, he and LaGarrette Blount, both are trash and neither deserves to play. But it's cool if the cat that ripped his-Spikes-helmet off and Byron Houte from Boise can run their mouths with no repercussions. Oh wait, Houte was punished in house. I think anyone would commend you for saying that especially with you being a Gator fan. I am not even saying throwing off the team but he needs to be suspended a game or two. November 2, 200916 yr I'm waiting for the pouting and complaining from BigSpikes about what everyone else is saying to stop and see what HE thinks about it. Did the one half punishment fit the crime? So far BigSpikes has justified it because someone took of Spikes' helmet during the game and because it's a rivalry game. Seems about right to me
