But it doesn't excuse the act IMO. Brandon Spikes is a senior leader of the defending national champs, and a projected first round pick. You cannot do things like that. There is just no place for it, I hope he learns from it and has no more garbage like this, he is too good of a player to resort to garbage like this.

The thing that makes it a little different to me is that it wasn't at the bottom of a pile. When the ball is loose and possession is up for grabs, we all know some pretty dirty stuff goes on. The UGA player just got tackled and Spikes went for his eyes... no pile.

I just don't think there is a place for it anywhere in sports, even in a pile. I just hate that, it's a game, and IMO the very best one in the world. It's fun. No reason for anything like that IMO.
