Brandon Spikes, Are You Serious???

Featured Replies

I agree. They should have sat him the whole game. I guess since they have played close games with teams they weren't supposed to Urban didn't want to chance it??

Didn't say. It just said he told reporters that he would be sitting the whole game against Vandy.

A WHOLE game against Vandy??? Wow how devastating for Florida!:rolleyes:

Classy move by Spikes to bench himself, if he did ask for it IMO. Doesn't sound like much, but maybe he does see the error of his ways a bit.

It seems like there's a fair amount of people in this thread that just think this is unheard of. My question to you is this: Why do you think so many players wear clear visors in football?

I agree, when I played alot of cheap things went on in the bottom of the pile. But it doesn't excuse the act IMO. Brandon Spikes is a senior leader of the defending national champs, and a projected first round pick. You cannot do things like that. There is just no place for it, I hope he learns from it and has no more garbage like this, he is too good of a player to resort to garbage like this.

The thing that makes it a little different to me is that it wasn't at the bottom of a pile. When the ball is loose and possession is up for grabs, we all know some pretty dirty stuff goes on. The UGA player just got tackled and Spikes went for his eyes... no pile.

No doubt about that. I just don't think there is a place for it anywhere in sports, even in a pile. I just hate that, it's a game, and IMO the very best one in the world. It's fun. No reason for anything like that IMO.

We know why Spikes wears one don't we?:lol:

I said the exact same thing about the visors in page 1 of this thread and was told I was wrong, to which I :ohbrother::lol::ohbrother:

I'm not excusing it at all. What Spikes did was dirty. Im just saying, a few in here act like this is the most unheard of thing in all of sports. In reality, it happens all the time, and I'd venture to say in every game to an extent.

I agree Duece. He got caught so he should be punished.

Kind of like dating an ugly girl. No one cares until you get caught........:thumb:

I didn't tell you that you were wrong did I? I really hadn't put much thought to the visors, but I don't blame the players for wanting to wear them.

Oh Ok, now I get what you're saying and I agree, I misunderstood what you said:thumb:.
