What radio station was the game broadcast on?

 

I listened to it on 1530 (or was it 1360??) with Randy Wilson, Kevin Rengering & James Adams.

Was not surprised by the score at all after seeing HHS play twice this season but I wasn't at all happy with the lack of yardage gained by the CovCath "O".

 

To their credit, the "D" played a rather good game. Now I understand that I will get some who will say but CovCath gave up 36 points, but when you consider how long the CovCath "D" was on the field and where the HHS "O" started at time after time, I was impressed with the CovCath "D".

 

As far as this HHS team being the best or one of the best ever (that I have seen and I have seen a lot of HHS teams), I can honestly tell you no!

 

The "D" is outstanding and maybe one of the best ever, but the "O"? No way! You don't fumble four times and twice at the goaline, get three PF, and have to kick two FG's and call yourself the best of all time. Dale wanted to run up the score as much as possible as he always does against CovCath (HHS fans you know that is true) but couldn't, so no this is not one of the best HHS team ever.

 

Good luck HHS fans but you really won't need it this season but after watching the CovCath Frosh, and the two CovCath middle school teams with the speed and talent they have, well....... :clap::clap::thumb:

While I guess we can give the CCH D credit for getting the fumbles I'd be more excited if they would have made stops and not been on the field so long. I'm not sure how anyone can say they played anything but poorly. Yes, they had no help from the offense but that still doesn't excuse their lack of stops.

 

As for those that disagree with my statement that it wasn't much different than last year, I guess I'd ask what you saw to make you disagree. I saw one team completely and in every phase of the game (and with a backup sophomore qb) dominate the Colonels. Just like last year.

 

I'm not down on them. Rome's timeline for being built comes to mind. We just have zero chance of beating HHS this year if we play them again. We will beat Dixie though.

If I had to nitpick with Dale the only thing I questioned was leaving Roller out there late in the game when it appeared every other position has subs. Not sure it was worth the risk.

 

Other than that, I've got nothing on Dale.

I would like to give major props to the Highlands defense. I believe this unit has improved more than any other unit over the course of a season in my recent Bluebird memory. I do not see a weak link on the field. They play their assignments, hit and tackle extremely well. It is becoming a victory in it's own right for the opposing team when they muster a first down. Keep it up Bluebird D.

I agree and I am the first to admit, that I was very hard on this unit in the early stages of the season. I chalk it up to coaching and desire. The body of work throughout this season, is very impressive....:thumb:

Nice try. So the football team lost a game...big deal. In the grand scheme, Saturday's game has so little to do with The Spirit we have at Cov Cath. Try checking things out at some of their Christian Service projects, or on one of their senior retreats, or even during Spirit Week at Cov Cath....then you might start to understand a little.

Roller stays on the field against everyone like that. I am not sure why, but Mueller has left him in the whole game against everyone that I know of. Maybe he came out of the Dixie game because they went over 50 against them? :idunno:

And what didn't they see in the first 3.5 quarters? The kid is such a good player that it doesnt take very long to see it. He almost split one of the CCH receivers in half on a screen pass.

Austin Abner over the last several weeks has made a Highlands a better football team. This team has kept right on going. Not just because of Towles, who is doing a very good job, but because of players like Abner and a countlesss host of others who have picked up the slack. The Highlands offensive line is flat getting it done. I would love read about an interview with one of those guys after a game.

 

You will get your chance on the highlight tape... each senior gets interviewed after each game. Very in depth... kind of up close and personal!

I didn't say anybody had the right to do anything!!!! Did I say anything about you or your team having no class??? The refs called the penalty against the HHS player for the punch,and missed the facemask call against the CCH player:rolleyes:. Highlands doesn't lose many games so I use the term "homers" when I think the officiating is a little off in favor of the home team!!! How many penaltys did CCH have called on them? ZERO,yes they were homers. :laugh::laugh:

I kind of agree with you. Maybe there was a reason, who knows. Not sure it would be a good enough one though. Maybe he is building up his endurance. I don't know.
