Was not surprised by the score at all after seeing HHS play twice this season but I wasn't at all happy with the lack of yardage gained by the CovCath "O".

 

To their credit, the "D" played a rather good game. Now I understand that I will get some who will say but CovCath gave up 36 points, but when you consider how long the CovCath "D" was on the field and where the HHS "O" started at time after time, I was impressed with the CovCath "D".

 

As far as this HHS team being the best or one of the best ever (that I have seen and I have seen a lot of HHS teams), I can honestly tell you no!

 

The "D" is outstanding and maybe one of the best ever, but the "O"? No way! You don't fumble four times and twice at the goaline, get three PF, and have to kick two FG's and call yourself the best of all time. Dale wanted to run up the score as much as possible as he always does against CovCath (HHS fans you know that is true) but couldn't, so no this is not one of the best HHS team ever.

 

Good luck HHS fans but you really won't need it this season but after watching the CovCath Frosh, and the two CovCath middle school teams with the speed and talent they have, well....... :clap::clap::thumb:

 

 

The same could be said for the future of the Bluebirds. The Bird frosh already have beaten the Colonels and I could give you a laundry list of names of 7th and 8th graders who are turning some big time heads in not just the FTJRFL but also the NKYFL for the Red Devils.

 

I am glad though that the Colonels are starting to get back on track and that they have a bright future. Nobody wants to win games 48 to 0 every year....well maybe not. :banana:

Frosh birds are playing well, and we have plenty of talent hidden in the FTJRFL and some boys coming from the Red Devils, I totally agree with this post it looks like Cov Cath has some skills coming up through the classes, but I can tell you HHS is not hurting for the talent in the younger ranks. It just makes the coaches work harder when we read the buzz about the Middle school football leagues....HHS just reloads....:thumb:

I am just kdding.. I have heard that he will not be play qb the rest of the year. If I was a betting man I would think he might play some wideout. With his straight line speed he could be very dangerous on the outside.

That would be a good idea. Also, according to the Enquirer, it does not appear that Collinsworth's hand is serious. But if he can't play, do you think Bardo would take his place at running back?Hopefully, he will be playing receiver, as you suggested. Highlands does need another receiver.:laugh:

What the heck kind of football was CCH using yesterday on punts. That looked like something out of 1997. It looked like maybe they brought the infamous Mud Bowl ball out of retirement for good luck. I wonder who holds the key to that cabinet.....:sssh:

 

That punt ball did look pretty shabby. Infamous Mud Bowl ball though? I'm not particularly sure what you're hinting at on that one. All of our balls stayed in regular rotation until they were retired to the garbage can in the weight room. :idunno:
