It was the 3rd personal foul called against Highlands, maybe 5+ minutes to go in the game?

 

Cov. Cath did not get one penalty the entire game that I can think of. That right there just seems alittle strange. :confused:

Just heard that Highlands could of used and eye doctor today on the sidelines. HHS had something like 15 players come off the field today with eye injuries. That seems strange!!!!:irked:

I don't understand your comments over and over about the receivers. We know we have good receivers!!! But you have to give Towles credit for getting the ball to the receivers. Towles is doing a great job running the offense and is a very accurate passer, give the kid credit!!!

Totally agree with you there. I was standing in the endzone and saw it all. He was down in the endzone so it should have been a touchdown.

 

If you were in the endzone, that means you must have been the umpire. I wonder why you didn't punch up a touchdown?

I thought Highlands O played very good . Most passes were on target,there were no dropped passes,running backs were running hard. It's just the fumbles, ( I wonder if there is some kind of record for fumbles in a season?), I bet HHS has a shot at it., but thats not a good thing. Great game Birds, just hang on to the ball! :thumb:

My point is just as I said - for all the praise given for the Birds passing game I don't hear much about your receivers. In fact, I would guess there are very few people on here that aren't HHS fans who can name one Highlands receiver. I would further venture a guess that one third of the Bluebird passing yardage this year can be attributed to the HHS QB steps back, throws the ball up in a high arc about 40 yards down field and trusts one of the receivers to get the ball - and they do. The fact that Towles has stepped in so easily and produced is further testimony to the receivers as much if not more than Towles. In fact, I would say if Towles went down (God forbid, not wishing ill will on anyone) then New or McCoy would step in and the Highlands passing game would march right on. That is because of the great receivers and the line giving the QB plenty of time to throw.

 

And by the way, I think this is only the thrid time I have made the comment so I don't think I am saying it over and over.

Not only the third time if it is I'm mistaken. My point is there is more to the QB than throwing the ball high in the air and the reciever coming down with the ball. I agree the line is very good and the recievers are very good but don't think anyone can step in and be productive. I'm not taking anything away from New or McCoy either... If you think this is easy to complete why don't more teams throw the long ball...because it's not a high percentage pass to complete!!!
