Wow just watched the replay of Saturday's game and wow!!! One play comes to mind, was the play that CCH sometime early in the 2nd half had a very large gain on a pass play. It looked like blown coverage by HHS. Well it wasn't....HHS's DB's were reacting to what was clearly a blown screen play. The receiver was about 25 yards down the field and the QB said what the heck and threw it to him for CCH's longest play of the day. CCH had 4 if not 5 lineman down field setting up the screen. Look at the tape, it doesn't lie!!! How do you miss something that obvious....:idunno: Take those yards away and CCH finishes with about 50 total yards and not 80 something...Also, Austin Collinsworth's TD ruled a fumble was clearly a Touchdown!!! The angle from the endzone clearly shows him crossing the plane with possession. Ball doesn't come out until his arm hits the ground. The ball was halfway accross the plane. I don't think I need to go on...It's over and we won't see that crew anymore this year. I heard their scorecard that was graded after the game was enough to get them some summer school....

I also watched the video of the game. I would not have said this before the game on Saturday, but after viewing the tape the Birds are very capable of putting up 60 again on the Colonels.

Also watched the tape last night. Fritsche (sp?), Deglow and Garnick played very nice games for CovCath's D. Garnick really impressed me, particularly on one play on Highlands first offensive drive. On the Collinsworth run of about 30 yds that about 5 CovCath players missed him, Garnick was the first to miss him. Garnick got back up off the ground, hustled down field, and after Collinsworth broke several other tackles, Garnick made the touchdown saving tackle. That was just great effort by the young man. End up keeping 7 points off the board as just a couple of plays later, Highlands turned over the ball.

I haven't been able to review the tape but if Garnick is not in the game Highlands scores a few more TD's. I'll bet he had to be the leading tackler for CCH and it's not a good sign when your safety is making most of the tackles.

Bardo at Highlands, Garnick at CovCath, McDole at Brossart.....How does NCC keep winning with "STUDS" like these deserting their father's alma mater??? LOL!!

That was the most impressive game I've seen him ever play. He entered into the game sick but sucked it up. Any one who has seen him play could tell on the fumble return by Timmerman that Austin just wasn't at any where near full speed. But he insisted on playing inspite of being sick. Then after his injury, he kept going back in. Finally the coaching staff refused to let him play any further. Just a gutsy, gutsy performance by the young man. Congrats Austin for the award and more importantly for the performance and leadership displayed on Saturday. :thumb:

I guess anything that CovCath did that was positive was the refs fault.:irked:
