I am curious as well, with only one year to go you would think he might finish. I wonder if he is looking at some schools out West.

 

Hegge is a very good catcher I am hearing and he has nice size. I would expect him to be a very nice player for Bellevue.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Sam Liggett as a possible POY candidate. Highlands won't be very good but Liggett should be in the running.

Plus they have Cole Wendeln who also helped lead the Boone JV team in the regional tournment batting over .500 plus brings good speed to the outfield and on the bases, stealing over 30 bases last season.

Don't totaly count Beechwood out, they have Bertke and Larimore. I would not be supprised to see Colosimo on the mound more in 2010, and Darrick Brilz had some pretty good outings as a Freshman in 2009, plus a couple of others that developed very well this past summer.

He will certainly help them defensively at a key position. He can be as good defensively as he wants to be. Its upto him.

Is he eligible for this coming season with his transferring from CovCath? Hope so, hate to see a kid have to sit out. Don't they live in Campbell Cty?

I heard that they now live in Ft. Mitchell. Either on Superior or Pleasant Ridge, if they have moved and have residence in Ft. Mitchell that would make him eligible.

I'm surprised not much has been said about Conner with the return of Russel, Hubbard, West, and Samad on the mound. They also return Pugh who hit near .450 last season. Plus Gill and Roberts returning in the infield and Liechty in the outfield. Seems to me they could be thrown in the mix.
