Boone County Leftfielder Cole Wendeln to play baseball at College of Mount St Joe. It became offical today after their win against Cooper. Cole will sign this week at school. Way to go kid you deserve it!!!!!!!::::clap::banana:::thumb:

Wendeln 3 RBI's to go along with that 2B

Understand there were 2 scouts at this game scouting players from Boone & Dixie. Anyone know which 2 schools and who they were scouting?

#7 Wendeln (1) to start the scoring in the bottom of the 7th.

Monday was weather, Tuesday scheduled off day Wednesday played Cooper, Thursday Anderson HS, Friday game cancelled against Dixie playing them first game of the Doc Morris tourney.

According to the stat keeper at Boone #7 has 12 stolen bases so far on the year. He had a good game against Anderson Thursday night @ Midland's field. He went 2-4, 2B in the bottom of the fifth with 2 outs and runners on 1st & 2nd to tie the game at 2. Then in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs he hit a single to get on for the tying run but the next hitter hit into a fielders choice to SS to end the game.

Definitly his hip. Dislocated and fractured, he has to use a walker to get around for now. He had to come home by ambulance after spending the night in the hospitable in Louisville. Our prayers go out to him for a speedy recovery.

Does any one have any pictures of the student section and what they did?

He did not get his helmet ripped off. He went helmet to helmet with the BC defender and that's when he decided to start a fight. that's why he got the flag thrown.

Boone's defence did it's job again. It held the Cardinals 3 times in the red zone for no points and giving the offence the ball back to score and time to run the clock down so Scott County with no timeouts left and very little time to mount a drive to score. This group played amazing. There's quote from a movie, " Winners always want the ball when the game is on the line." Well, this defence wanted the ball and got it for the offence. Congrats to the whole Boone County football team. Keep it up boys.

NKY coach's poll has Highlands #1, Ryle #2, Boone, Dixie, & New Cath tied @ 4th.

I too am very curious where this info came from. My son plays for Boone and was there playing and said it was BW getting handled by Boone. And to answer the question yes, Schwartz did take reps and threw the ball.

WHY?

You just can't have someone donate money to a school in Boone County. It has to be willed to the school. Take Boone County for example, Shaun Alexander was going to donate money to upgrade their facilities but the school board said no unless he was going to do it for the other 2 schools at that time. To me the school shouldn't to be raising money, the school board should be finding way to help all the schools. Look what Kenton County has done with their 3 high schools. Except an indoor practice facility maybe to much. But, at least they are upgrading.

Boone 12 Conner 7, very good game, very exciting to watch. Good luck to both teams in the regional.
