Although I was one of the few that voted for them, and called that upset all week I laughed too. All I could say during that and that final drive from the Pack was "only the Bengals."

Over the past few years I have figured out a way to tolerate this franchise for the most part. I watch them as a Sunday early afternoon comedy series, and it works great. Watching them as a drama just wasn't working... :lol:

Sounds pretty open ended. I say 7-9 or worse. Pretty cut and dry. Near the playoffs, maybe contending, coming close. Pretty wishy washy if you ask me. Why not say 9-7 or better? 9-7 probably gets them where you think they'll be. Close to making the playoffs. Which in reality still isn't good enough. I'm done with this trivial drool. Really enjoy watching the Bengals D this year. They showed signs of life last year and have picked it up a notch. If the offense can build off of this game it will be a lot more fun to follow the team.

If they are serious about being playoff contenders, home division wins are a must.

A lot of interesting talk on here. I still think they'll win 6 games or less. I love the Bengals and always will, but I don't understand why it's not ok to hope that they lose 10 or more games so Mike Brown loses out on income. I think this is the last year for most of the suite owners contracts. If they are terrible the renewal rate will be terrible unless he hires a GM and some personell people. If they go 9-7 and barely miss the playoffs he won't do anything. To him its all about the bottom line. They're not making the playoffs b/c it would take a small miracle to finish better than 3rd in their division.

 

Carson Palmer is on pace for 32 interceptions. I don't care who you want to blame, that is not elite. They pulled one out they should have won by 2 TD's. The defense is obviously better. We'll see if they're good enough to keep overcoming all of the Bengal mistakes.

I made the comment in another thread that one thing we could take from week 1 was that the Bengals D would keep them in almost every game this year. I think this game completely validated my claim. The D looked very good again.

 

I think next week is the perfect time to play the Steelers with Polamalu being out. He seems to just kill Palmer every year. While I don't want to go as far as predicting a Bengals win, I wouldn't be too shocked if they did come out with a victory. Benson and the D will have to keep it up though.

Wow thats a good Bengals fan hoping that the Bengals do lose 10 or more games. I mean do you honestly think that will get Mike Brown to change things? I mean seriously? The guy has showed that he is not going to change his ways. So either just got to learn to deal with it and hope the team does well in spite of him, or just go find another team to root for.

 

I mean people on here are letting their hate for Mike Brown, not let them see that the Bengals actually have a pretty good team this year. They have talent on both sides of the ball. Something that they didn't even have in 2005, and instead of wanting them to do good. We have some people who would be just as happy if they lose ten games or more? I mean WOW that is just crazy IMO.

 

As for Palmer he is on pace for 32. However you really shouldnt count the 2 from the first week of the season. One was just a great play by Bailey, and the other came on a hail mary throw at the end of the game. Now yesterday that was just bad throws by Palmer. Its funny how Cincinnati fans think well if someone is not doing everything perfect, then he just is no good anymore. Yeah right now I admit he is not with the elite QB's anymore. You all need to realize he played 4 games last season, and last season was with receivers who he had timing and a bad line. Then this year he was not there for the preseason. No QB just comes right back into it and just does great. I mean even Peyton Manning last year started slower than normal after his knee problem and missing the preseason. Also look at Tom Brady, he has not played elite yet this year. It takes time to get back into the rhythm of things people, mistakes do happen.
