September 20, 200916 yr Glad all the Bengal fans can jump right back on board their wagon this week, they'll have to jump right back off next week though. Same old story.
September 20, 200916 yr Palmer rebounded nicely after those terrible throws. Obviously a little rusty. Not ready to say he isn't an Elite QB. It's only his second game back from a long layoff.

I think everyone was thinking around 1-2 for these first 3 games. So I my wagon won't be going anywhere. Typical Cincinnati mentality.
September 20, 200916 yr Author Glad all the Bengal fans can jump right back on board their wagon this week, they'll have to jump right back off next week though. Same old story. You've got to be kidding. We haven't jumped off board after all these years. A loss next week to the defending Super Bowl Champions certainly wouldn't do it.
September 20, 200916 yr I was just stating what it looks like from an outsiders perspective, last week, the Bengals weren't going to win another game and no one was supporting them because of Mike Brown; now they are potential playoff bound. Like someone else stated, it is the majority of the fans mentality that aggrevates others, not everyone is clumped into that stereotype but for fans to wish their team bad luck because of the owner is just extreme to me. I saw a lot of Bengal fans today dressed in their jersey's hoping the lost so the ownership could change, give me a break.
September 20, 200916 yr I was wondering how long it would be before someone said PLAYOFFs!! Good win. Why is it so hard to believe that this team just may be good enough for that? I know, I mean WE ALL KNOW how you feel about the Bengals and especially the organization. However I really also think that you let your hatred for the Browns cloud your vision here, that the Bengals actually have a pretty good team this year. I mean even in the game last week, the Bengals showed some positive signs, and it continued this week. This team has a defense that will keep them in games and help them win games, they have a punt returned who can change games around, and offense they actually have showed signs of life this year. Even last week they moved the ball, but they shot them ownselves in the foot every time. They tried that today to, however they were able to overcome it and still score. Like it or not but this team is not as bad as you like to think it is this year.
September 20, 200916 yr It will be a long hard road for the Bengals, but after today's performance I think they have a shot at the playoffs. They're in a tough division though.
September 20, 200916 yr Palmer rebounded nicely after those terrible throws. Obviously a little rusty. Not ready to say he isn't an Elite QB. It's only his second game back from a long layoff. Exactly. Some people seem to think if he is not perfect at everything, then he just isn't good anymore. I mean the guy only played 4 games last year and it was behind a horrible offensive line, and with receivers who he had no timing with because this missed all of training camp. Then this year he missed basically all of preseason. So give him a break, there is going to be some rust. However I think he is showing signs that he is getting better and back to the way he was a few years ago.

Yeah it definitely won't be easy. However I really do think they have a team this year that really could make the playoffs. The team is really not that bad this year, and if they stay healthy they can do some really good things.
September 21, 200916 yr lol, some people were all doom and gloom and talking about how the season was basically over after last week on a freak ending, and now everyone is pumping fists and jumping up and down. This is kind of what I was talking about with the fan support. Anyways, this is exciting for the Bengals, because barring that freak ending they actually could be 2-0 right now, but 1-1 is better than most were predicting and they didn't look bad at all. Their D in particular should be proud. Carson, as someone else said, isn't elite. He's good, not bad. But not great. And that may be okay really, it may be good enough. I still feel like he is injury prone and it's comin... After the Steelers losing tonight and the Bengals having this momentum swinging their way, I'm going to be a rare optimist and say they play the Steelers close next week and maybe even win it.

Like it or not but this team is not as bad as you like to think it is this year. My clouded vision led me to predict a 7-9 record for them initially. And i seriously think that's a stretch. We can go back and forth all season. Sort of boring if you ask me. Or we can talk at the end of the season. And if in my clouded judgement, I have misjudged this team, I will humbly admit such. Hopefully you will do the same.. Go Bengals!:thumb:

Go Bengals!:thumb: I never said that the Bengals definitely will make the playoffs. I said that they have a team that is very capable this year of making it. There is no way of knowing how things will play out. So even if they don't make the playoffs, I don't see where I would have to admit I was wrong. I saying this team is very capable of making it to the playoffs, and I truly believe that. You seem to think that is laughable from your previous post about it. So from the sounds of it, if they even come close to making the playoffs then you will be having to admit you were wrong because you think its laughable to even mention this team and playoffs. Now if they Bengals just flat out stink this year and not even close to being in contention. Then I will admit I was wrong.:thumb:

Sounds pretty open ended. I say 7-9 or worse. Pretty cut and dry. Near the playoffs, maybe contending, coming close. Pretty wishy washy if you ask me. Why not say 9-7 or better? 9-7 probably gets them where you think they'll be. Close to making the playoffs. Which in reality still isn't good enough. I'm done with this trivial drool. Talk to you in late December.
